Addicted to Washing my Hair

Anyone else /images/graemlins/confused.gif I can't go any longer than 4 days /images/graemlins/bath2.gif I have managed 5 days so far and thats only because I am afraid of my new-growth

I used to be like that then I got lazy.

I used to wash my hair EVERY Wednesday and EVERY saturday. Now I wash it every saturday...

You're not the only one addicted. Every 3 days I've been washing with Suave Milk & Honey, which smells good enough to eat, and can't manage to go any longer than that. I just like the way my hair feels while wet & having it smell nice afterwards.

I love washing my hair..that Suave Milk and Honey does smell soooooooo good!! I love it when the smell lingers for a long time.. I wash daily though..I might miss a day every now and then..but pretty much I wash daily..

Oooh I am soo glad i am not alone! I am a 3 dayer also..and in the summer I wash almost EVERYDAY they aren't all poo washes though. I'm trying to make it a whole week!

I normally wash every other day, but last weekend I went 4 days w/o washing. I thought I was going to lose my mind. I was visting my grandmother, and it was so cold in the house that I did not want to wash my hair! She hasn't turned the heat on yet. That is the last time I go that long. My scalp was going bonkers /images/graemlins/swearing.gif, it almost ached. I don't know why my head is like this now. I use to wash once a week for years.

Im glad you posted this. I am here at school thinking about going home and washing my hair. I just washed this past Sat. and I have the urge to wash as soon as I get home. It is really hard for me to go a good 5 days. Sounds compulsive doesn't it. The thing is, it is getting colder here, but I will lightly blow dry my hair afterward to prevent catching a head cold, as that has happened to me one too many times. I just love the feeling of a clean fresh scalp. I figure I will rollerset on the weekends and maybe lightly blowdry 1x during the week. Yes, washing your hair is addictive.

Oooohh Belleza, I used to believe that mess too. Now I panic if I don't wash everyday or other day. This forum saved my head, but made my water bill rise.

I started out washing every three days but now I wash daily to every other day. Since I'm doing the bun challenge I use gel in my hair and I never go more than one day without washing it out. I only use shampoo three to four times a month the rest of the time it's CO washes for me.

For real. And last night I splured on Nioxin Protectives Cleanser, Scalp Therapy, and Folicle Booster. It made my scalp tingle, I felt so refreshed...I think me and Nioxin need to get married! /images/graemlins/kiss2.gif

I wash every Wed and every Sat. I only deep condition on Sat. Sometimes I co wash in between those days. I couldn't go longer than every three days.

I think back to when I would only wash once a week or once every two weeks. I couldn't go that long now without water touching my scalp.

I love to wash my hair as well. I do every other day. I use a light hairspray for hold, so I like to avoid build-up. Now that it is getting colder, it is easier to go an extra day, but in the summer, I was in the shower co washing or washing faithfully every night!
