it fell out in a quarter sized spot. heat, permanent color, non protective styles and a too strong relaxer did it to me. i am soooo upset because i did this to my hair. i have nobody to blame.

i am so blessed that it all didn't fall out. i know the right things to do; i just didn't do them. but i have boo-hooed and now i am on the healthy hair warpath. i am done with relaxers, heat and color. drastic i know but i think that would be best. if there is anybody who is slacking in the care and feeding of their hair DON't its not worth the alternative.

Welcome to my world lol

I did the exact same thing and took the exact same action and I have 6 inches of hair in just under a year

I would definitely recommend braids until your hair grew back. I don't think you should put relaxer on a bald spot.

In a year or so when the hair grows back to a substantial length, then you can relax it again if you want to.

i've been there, three times! each time i would braid my hair and let it grow out. then i would take the braids out and start with the too frequent relaxing, coloring and heat styling, etc.all over again. right now i'm slowly trimming off the overprocessed ends and i have about 1/4 inch left. i'm still wearing a relaxer but my hair is so much healthier. i'm staying away from permanent color as long as possible. also, i'm doing the conditioner washes daily. welcome to our world

i'm soo sorry about your hair. i remember having an experience like that. imagin being 10 and brushing you hair and having it come out in big clumps. but i hope it all grows back and that it gets healthy.
