Janet' the blond color is really becoming on you. It looks perfect on you. I decided to add a few highlights in the front and wasn't sure how it would play on my brown skin but I like. I hope I don't get breakage, though. Why does the light color cause retention problems. I've heard this mentioned before but brushed it off. Frankly I thought that was more geared towards those that were double processed w/relaxer and color/bleaching thrown on top. Do you think there is a way to wear the lighter colors w/o breakage. Are you going to leave in a few highlights on the perimiter or go dark all around?

virtuenow-- Sorry! I've been on hiatus, but I'm back now! I think it's because your hair is literally stripped or lifted the lighter the color is...so blonde is quite possibly putting one's hair in the most fragile situation.

I got breakage- albeit minimal when I initially went blonde...my hair right now is in a situation where I am maintaining my length but at the same time, my hair is obviously not retaining--I'm not gaining length- so that is breakage...

I am going a totally different color- red...I no doubt will have a couple of different colors but no more blonde...Actually, my appointment is the 29th of October, so the countdown has begun!

I wish you all the best, and I would love to see pics!

Your hair was everything @Janet'! I'm sure you'll get your length back soon. I'm cheering for you

:2inlove::2inlove: Thank you!!!! Yes, people who have been on the forum 4 or less years don't know my love/hate relationship with my hair, color, etc. When I cheer you ladies on, it's because I have been where you have been-- and I have gotten discouraged and temporarily given up-- so, I know the highs and the lows...and the in-betweens. :yep: :yep:

This time around, because I have alllll that knowledge under my belt- that will hopefully translate to wisdom and so, I'm excited about my hair future...I really appreciate you!:love4::love4:
