Once a week for me!

My process takes awhile though. I keep trying to shorten it.

These days I detangle first with a cheapie conditioner, braid it up in about 6 plaits to wash and condition. I then put about 10 braids in with a leave in conditioner. I let it dry overnight and twist it up the next day.

Co-wash daily and shampoo and DC twice weekly. UNLESS...

I am wearing it flat ironed. Then, I oil the scalp daily, and shampoo and DC once weekly.

It depends on the hair style....

If I'm wearing it straightened: every two weeks
If I'm wearing it in flexi rods(my choice of curls): Once a week
If I'm bunning: CoWash 2x and Wash and DC once a week = 3x a week

So my styles decides how frequent my hair gets attention lol.

I cowash my hair once a week and wash with shampoo probably every month. The washing/ detangling takes about 20-25 mins. I sit under the dryer and deep condition for an hour. Then i rinse, apply moisturizers, seal, and braid my hair in 8 sections which takes about 45-60 mins, then dry over night to put in a bun in the morning.

I wash more in the summer months.

I shampoo and DC 1x a week; this takes about 45 minutes. (Tack on an extra 2 or more hours if I'm twisting my hair that day.)

The rest of the week, I co-wash about 2-4x. This takes about 5 minutes since I'm already in twists.

Co-wash daily. Sometimes every other day.
ACV wash once every 10 days or so.
Hair style: TWA

I shampoo and deep condition every two weeks. I keep my hair in twists so I twist every two weeks as well. I also make sure to moisturize 1-2x a day since I'm only deep conditioning 2x a month.

Co-wash 1x/week; poo wash 1x/week
My cowash takes much less time, about 2-2.5 hours total (35 detangling, 30-45 deep conditioning is most of it)
My poo wash involves twisting, so it takes up to 5-6 hours, depending on how long it takes to do the twists.
I DC with each wash, so that's what increases my total time.

Cowash once a week, Poo once a month (longer if I'm not using 'cones). DC every other week and after every poo.

Co-washing in the shower takes about 20-30 minutes because I detangle as well and I style with curlfomers which never takes more than an hour. Poo with DC takes about an hour because I sit under the dryer with the DC for at least 30 minutes.

I co-wash every other day or so. detangle and box braids. Leave them in for a day. take them down sport my braidout for a day, then do it all over again.:drunk:

I apply MTG and amla oil every night. Or I use my hair concoction and then I baggie at night.

My hair absorbs moisture like a sponge

It depends once a week or every two weeks.

Part hair into sections put put a hot oil treatment and detangle then braid into six bunches for washing (when detangling use big tooth bone comb and then small tooth bone comb to remove shed hairs). Oil makes the comb glide through. If the small tooth bone comb gets snagged I use my fingers or bobby pin to unravel a knot. Prep time 1:15 minutes.

Shampoo one lather concentrating on scalp.

Conditioner 5-10 minutes (make sure it is all washed out)

Take each braid out then mist with AV juice and water (mist spray) and use Qhemet Olive and Honey Balm and the instead of braiding up again do six big twists instead of the six braids (less work)

Do not tie hair with scarf right away let hair dry a bit and then use mist spray just for a bit of moisture before going to bed. Hair at that point is still a bit wet but I can put on my hair scarf.

I usually do my hair on Sundays after church.

Mist every day and use Qhemet Olive and Honey Balm to seal. Hair twisted up at night every day.

Best,
Almond Eyes

1-2x a week when I'm not in braids/twists/protective styles etc. Clarifying is done as needed and cowashing is done sparingly or not at all. When I'm in braids I wash them every 6 weeks(I wear braids 3-4 months at a time)

I spend a total of about 30-45min to clean, condition, and style my hair.

I wash once a week. I spend about 15-20 minutes washing my hair and showering, then another 2-2.5 hours detangling and twisting my hair.

In the beginning I used to wash daily, then that went to twice a week ,to once a week, to now every two weeks. When I was washing daily my hair just didn't feel good and I had a lot of splits (was not using any heat). For my fine hair every two weeks is best. My hair feels great.

That's funny. I was the same way. I am in the twice-per-week category now and can see it becoming once every 1-2 weeks as it grows. It's taking longer, and I already know I don't want to have to devote 2 hours to my hair twice per week. It only takes about 45 min to an hour as long as I detangle in the shower with conditioner under the running water.

It's unbelievable how easy it is to detangle that way!

I'm 4a/b

Regimen (I always do this in the evening so I have time to let my hair dry fully and the style to "set.")

  1. Run fingers through hair to feel for any twists that have clumps in them. The clumps are rare and twisting every night before going to bed keeps my hair really manageable.
  2. Wash hair after letting the water lay the hair down a little. Depending on the shampoo, I might do a cursory detangle here. Rinse.
  3. (If I am doing protein, this is where it's done. Leave on abt. 5 minutes and rinse. Moisturizing Condition (Aussie Moist - like it - or Pantene's Nature Fusion something or another - love it!) Ileave my moisturizing conditioner in as long as I possibly can while showering.
  4. Wash body while conditioner is in hair.
  5. Rinse hair and body.
  6. Porosity Control (mostly once a month, but sometimes twice) for 30 seconds to a minute. I try to stay extremely close to the directions for PC.
  7. Rinse out and fully detangle. Shower brush glides through my hair at this point.
  8. Dry body and dress. Style hair damp. Twists. Braids take too long with my length, though they loo so pretty at take-down. No tangles at all.
Start to finish if I do this is about 45 minutes...an hour if I am being slow.

Though I do a little more than I did when relaxed, my natural hair is less time consuming in terms of care and styling.
