My little one was on a kick this morning and made me line up my jars of infused oils that are under the sink.

So I went ahead and made another batch of my hair and scalp oils, since they were out. lol

I used the herbal mix (Almond oil base) + my Bhringraj/Amla oil (EVOO base) for my hair. Added in some Red Raspberry Seed and Carrot Seed oils, and Lavender and Sweet Orange EOs into the container and shook it all up.

I made my scalp oil sulfur free and actually threw away my sulfur oil that was under the sink so that I wouldn't accidentally use it anymore.
I used the Bhringraj/Amla oil (EVOO) + Fenugreek sprouts oil (EVOO) + my tonic mix (Horsetail, Nettle leaves and Burdock root in Almond oil). Added in some Lavender, Peppermint and Rosemary EOs into the applicator bottle and shook it up.

Y'all, I'm not a fan of Rosemary as I recall there being a caution for those with blood pressure issues (I don't have any but better safe than sorry). So I have been on this same little 1oz bottle of EO since 2010 (yup, you read that correctly). :look:

I use this scalp oil daily. So we're gonna see what happens...

I didn't watch the whole video, but like the GROWTH in the pic
I'm going to make a Sea Moss Growth Oil infused for +5 weeks :)

@25InchesStarting'25

I saw similar growth like that last year in one week of cornrows. I had to go back to find my post to see what I did.

Looks like I used my Shikakai/Neem cleanser about 3x that week and did a couple of Fenugreek sprout rinses. If my hair didn't tangle so much at take down, I'd go back to cornrows.

Thank you for sharing!

Do you have a RevAir? If you do, it can help tremendously
Would advise people to do them only on straight hair to prevent manipulation and breakage and keep them in at least 2 weeks to a month
Some people wear them for 3 to 4 months under another type of protective style and have great results :)

Ooh, girl. I absolutely will not EVER wear cornrows for months at a time! More power to the ladies who can get away with that. Two weeks is the max for my hair. Unless I'm rocking crochets and they'll be in 3-4 weeks max. Even if I cornrow on blown out hair, they'll be in a different state by the time I go to take them down bc I wet them and wash them so frequently. Lol I'm not really trying to preserve the cornrows at all. For me, they serve a purpose - they make my scalp more accessible for cleaning and applying any scalp aids. Also when it's hot, they allow air to my scalp and make it easier for me to rinse and wet bun.

The video you posted reminded me of that week of crazy ng I had. So I went looking for that post to remind myself what I did that time. I think I might try it again. :)

Mixed up my henna. Currently sitting under the steamer to steam it in.

Jamila henna, Moringa powder , Neem powder , Amla powder, ashwagandha powder , Brahmi powder , garlic essential oil and sunflower lecithin.

Just putting this here in case anyone else is also TTCing passively or aggressively...

It was hard to track down which Ayurvedic powders to use bc some are only suggested from 2nd trimester on. I'm not currently pregnant but I prefer naturally incorporating things into my lifestyle so that I don't have to think about it - ya know, KISS.

I love Lavender but EO's aren't really studied well for pregnancy use. And Lavender is only recommended from the 2nd trimester on so I'm gonna stick with using a few drops of fragrance oils for my mixtures instead of EOs.

After reading more, and knowing my hair, I've narrowed down my Ayurvedic powder use to powders that I can use from pre-conception through birth:

Amla
Henna
Shikakai
ETA: my boo, Hibiscus!

This is good enough for me to mix my products from here on forward.

-I'll infuse Almond oil with Amla for my scalp oil.
-I might make an Amla and Hibiscus tea for my daily hair spritz.
-I'll infuse both Hibiscus and Amla in EVOO for my daily hair oil
-I'll continue to mix up my Shikakai cleanser using condish and baby/unscented Castile soap instead of peppermint Castile soap. I might still use lemon EO for that though, since it gets rinsed out. I also used lemon EO during my last pregnancy for my facial astringent mix.
-I can use Henna, Amla and Hibiscus to make my leave in condish.
-And I can add Henna and Hibiscus and oils to beef up my DC

I’m going to cream some fenugreek and add it to my henna this Friday.

I usually warm the fenugreek on the stove and simmer it slowly and then add some olive oil. After its simmer for a bit I’ll use the immersion blender to get any lumps out.
