2015 Hair Goals

In the year of 2015
I want to be a thick MBL (Curly) and TL (Straight--which I've been before).

To achieve this goal:
1. Be healthy [Take my multi-vitamin (which I need to buy) & take a hair skin and nails vitamin, drink lots of water, & eat right]
2. Keep my hair moisturized, baggie, tea rinses, tea spritz, use ayurvedic powders, protect my ends by wrapping them (in silk ties, saran wrap, wear wigs, and sleeping on satin pillowcases)
3. Daily scalp massages & do the inversion method monthly

Regimen is currently being tweaked, but so far so good.
Prepoo with coconut oil and Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Conditioner, while that is still on my head in the shower use Shea Moistures JBCO Shampoo only on roots as of now but will include ayurvedic powders. Then tea rinse, apply Shea Moistures Restorative Conditioner, comb with denman brush, apply my Shea Butter mix and braid up hair.

2015 Hair Goals:

1..To reach full BSL
2..To even up layers
3..To improve the growth/retention on my sides/temple area

get to stage three
tumblr_n4ctqkrKn51rz4rwyo1_500.png

i want bigger hair

Be more consistent with my regimen & products because I know they work for my hair!

Retain healthy, blunt ends

Stop spending money on unnecessary hair products

Wear looser hair styles

My 2015 goal is full MBL with thick ends. I'm currently BSL I have yet to relax so I'm estimating my current length.

What I will do to achieve full MBL:
lay off the blow drying
Cut down my stretching time if possible to 16 weeks. I currently stretch for 20 weeks
M&S as needed and stop being lazy
Be more gentle and plan wash days so I never have to rush and become frustrated.
Continue inverting & taking my vitamins
Eat cleaner. I've started this already.
DC with every wash and keep up my protein treatments

WSL
Thicker hairline

My regimen:
  • moisturize & seal every other night with Elasta QP Mango Butter
  • Weekly wash & deep condition
  • Bi-weekly salon visits
  • Mostly protective styling
  • JBCO on edges
  • Exercise

I'm natural so in 2015 I want to:
Get my weight down to 145/140;
Grow my hair to collarbone when stretched;
Continue co-washing, deep conditioning, moisturizing and sealing my hair every day of the week;
Use a protein treatment every 6 weeks, and refrain from purchasing new products.

Great thread!!!
I plan on continuing my Long Hair Journey this year and would like to reach full MBL by the end of 2015. I have realized that it is taking me longer to see my goals because of my height so my hair has to get real long to get to those lengths. I am currently slightly longer than full BSL and I will continue to protective style most of 2015 under my lace wigs. I will do scalp massages 3-5 times a week with Shea Moistures JBCO scalp oil and use that line of products on a bi weekly basis to cleanse and deep condition my hair. I will continue to finger detangle my hair while pre pooing and taking my cornrowns down and I will try to use less styling tools like combs and brushes next year because this cuts down on breakage for me. I will also try Hairfinity for the new year because I want to incorporate more Hair, Skin and Nail vitamins into my regimine.

For 2015 I want thicker, healthier waist length hair by the end of the year. I'm at mid back length right now but in 2 weeks I'm going to end up cutting to bra strap length or just below it. I looked at my ends this morning and ummmm...some of them gotta go. I'm not one to hold on to raggedy or severely uneven, see through ends for the sake of claiming a certain length.

The plan: Bunning, wearing wigs, Marley twists and crochet braids until my birthday in June. Eating better, drinking more water, exercising, taking my vitamins (regular multi and Manetabolism), going back to doing the inversion method and daily scalp massages using a modified version of NJoy's sulfur oil mix.

The regimen: (Pretty much the same as now) Pre-poo with ridiculous amounts of coconut oil, wash with bentonite clay and acv, deep condition with Shea Moisture raw shea butter deep treatment masque (overnight or at least 2 hours with heat), add a bit of whatever cheapie conditioner I have on hand to detangle, apply garnier fructis leave in then seal with my oil mix (almond, grapeseed, avocado, olive and apricot oils with a few drops of rosemary and peppermint oil). Frequency will vary depending on my style choice.

I've only seen Manetabolism mentioned here on the forums and interested as to know what sets this pill a part from the rest of the hair growth pills on the market? Same goes for the NJoy's sulfur oil mix. Just looked it up. As I'm looking for a good oil what have you noticed with you hair with continued use of this product? And what modified version are you using of this oil?

In 2015 my goal is to maintain healthy hair and achieve longer hair. my length goal is MBL;currently at a a healthy APL. What i plan on doing is to continue my current regimen of washing every 2wks, DC every 2 wks, protein when needed or 1x monthly, apply leave-ins, heat protectant and straighten. I'm natural ,so when my hair is straight i retain length better. i tension blow dry then use one pass to straighten with flat iron. I moisturize and seal every other day. I wear my hair down for the first 3 days then it's in a bun until wash day.

My 2015 goal is retention (if I decide to let my hair grow out).

I plan to do that by continuing:
Weekly washes with weekly DC-ing and weekly use of protein
Moisturizing 2x a day
Oiling scalp several times a week
Low manipulation styling

I want to be better at styles. I always wear my hair plain and loose. This year I want to wear sets, and finally learn how to braid!

My Hair Goals 2015:

vitamins, green smoothies, eat healthy and exercise
twice a month salon visits with hydration steam treatments
once a month trims
Less weaves and wigs
Less heat
Scalp massages

I'm not big on length for me its more about having healthy bouncy flowing hair. I already have fine hair so even if my hair doesn't grow pass bob or shoulder length I will be happy as long as its bouncy and healthy.

My main goals for 2015:

-retain length
-lose 40lbs
-no more heat damage
-grazing BSL

I will achieve this by:

-consistent exercise (already started)
-clean eating (working on it)
-incorporate protein shakes
-M&S daily
-cowash 2x/wk
-protein/moisture treatment 1x/wk
-add Ayurvedic regimen
-no cutting until June 2015

I can do this!

My main goals are

1. To pre-poo whenever possible
2. Incorporate clay washes into my regimen
3. Deep condition with heat as often as possible
4. Have my protein shake every morning
5. Keep up with my vitamins
6. Keep up with the shea butter challenge.
7. By the end of 2015 I should be waist when straight or as close to it as possible. Right now it's at BSL straight, past my shoulders curly.
8. Stick to the products that are working (no more experimenting)

I would really like to master rollersetting with magnetic rollers...and I need to learn how to blowout my hair with a paddle brush. I've been seriously considering going to beauty school.

Also in 2015 I will grow amd retain 6 inches ♥

Transition back to texlaxed. I realized i don't like my hair straight. I miss my curls.

Continue with my deep conditioning and protein treatments.

Continue to hide my hair until the summer.

Start bagging my hair again.

To reach full mbl. I had my sorhor do a length check on me yesterday and I'm bsb but it's not full. I also want to get my ssks under control.

I'm investing in hair vitamins and increasing my water intake. I'll also try to get a solid regimen.

well in 2015 it will be 3 yrs natural--my hair has blossomedddd and is on its way to a mbl...bsl already achieved!:yep:

i get a bit out of hand when my hair is long as in over styling--so i will try not to get overzealous because i can style is in so many ways given its length

in 2015 just trying to keep my hair on my head at the length it is growing...:yep:

My goal for 2015 is to grow my hair to APL by establishing a healthy hair routine.

I plan to do the following: finger detangle my hair, protective style my hair, cleanse my scalp weekly, deep condition after every cleanse, and make conscientious decisions about the products I choose. I will also exercise 5-6 times a week, take my multivitamins, eat more vegetables, and drink more water.
