Last night I steamed for over an hour with: Dudley's Hair rebuilder mixed with ORS Replenishing Pak, and Vitamin E Hot oil treatment. It was a winner for me. I just went to bed with a cap on and a wet head. I was dead tired but the deed had to be done. :)

I steamed twice on Saturday, once for 15 minutes doing a Hot Oil treatment as a pre-poo. After a medium protein treatment under the dryer, I followed up with another steam treatment for 35 minutes using Shi-Naturals Peppermint Deep Conditioner.

I have installed a protective style (Crochet braids) for the winter so I won't be steaming with you ladies for a while. I plan to leave the braids in for 8 weeks take 2 weeks off and reinstall. I'll continue to read the forum even though I won't be contributing. I'll return in December. Have fun steaming! :D

I don't know what I did but my Q-Redew made my hair feel hard and brittle last time I used it. I was thinking maybe I used it too long in a couple of spots! I wanted a huetiful steamer (mostly because of Mo Knows Hair), but I ran across a Secura Steamer at Sears (for almost $40 less) and I was wondering if anyone had any information/experience with it?

I used my steamer on my DGD to detangle before she washed her hair in the shower...she has 3C/4A medium strand hair and she has a bunch of it and she has a big head...LOL. Detangling was a breeze and I twisted her hair and talked with her about shampooing with the twists. She's twelve and this was the best wash day I've ever had with her. She even DC-ed under the steamer with a combo of NG Aloe and the KC DC.
