Ok, ladies! The 2nd quarter of 2009 has officially begun and many of us are getting REAL close to hitting our goal of MBL!!!

Please use this thread to post your updates. As I noted in the first update thread, I will post a new thread each quarter to keep the MBL 2009 thread from getting too big. The next threads will be posted in July and October.

I'm back a BSL! :yay:

I'm fully expecting to hit full BSL/(g)MBL by June and be full MBL in September!

Hello everyone,
Just checking in. I'm still chugging along to get to MBL. I've been hovering at BSL for four months now (it will be 5 months on the 22nd). :rolleyes: I know my hair is growing because my layers are now past SL, but I hadn't trimmed since Nov. and I just got a dusting last week. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I'm still determined to hit MBL because I always get a super-duper growth spurt in the summer months (June - Sept).

So in essence, I'm still keeping the faith and the good habits! I'm also very grateful for what I have. I never dreamed I would be at BSL at this stage in my life.

Here is a new photo of my ponytail. Like I mentioned earlier, a lot of my layers have grown out, so I'm thankful for what I have and still praying and believing for my next goal of MBL.

I'm bsl, hopefully a fuller bsl by the end of summer. I still would be happy to get to mbl by the end of this year.
 
Just checking in. Will post another pic after I get my relaxer on 4/6. So far I am noticing the benefits of not using shampoo. Co-washing daily since it has warmed up and clarifying with baking soda. Still trying to get use to no suds but my hair is defienetly loving it. Only using shampoo when I go get my relaxers.
 
I judy recently made BSL in March, 2009. Haven't taken any updates yet, but hope to soon. Well, it's only been a month, but it seems like my hair was at a temporary stall. We'll see where it's at when I take my next photos. Hope to submit soon:yep:

I'm hoping to hit it by my 2nd year anniversary (June), the pic on my siggi is the latest from March. Keep up the good job and best of luck to all of you...♥
 
Still hanging in there. Not growing as fast as it was before...could be because I'm watching it more closely now..lol. Still aiming for Dec 2009.
 
I'm just creeping up on BSB - unless my new curly perm really gives me a growth/retention boost, I don't think I'll be able to make it by December.

Even though I swore off topical growth aids, I've really been contemplating using MT again. An inch a month definitely makes MBL in 2009 doable for me.
 
I have a few strands touching bsl now...so i'm thinking by the summer I should be closer to midback and I know I will def..have more hair touching midback by the end of the year..

My remimen:
WorkOut
Eat Healthy
Wear my hair in a bun
Wash and dc weekly
Co-wash or rinse 2 - 3x weekly on the days I run...
 
Hey ladies.... okay I wanted to come up in here with a pic..... but the cord to upload my camera is missing..... anyhoo my V is touching bra strap....but I consider myself apl still..... I am hoping to be full BSL by August and mid back by december 27 my bday.... trying not to put too much pressure on myself..lol..... I will be posting a pic soon.... just wanted to say hi and happy growing to all my lhcf sistas!!!!
 
Hi everyone!
My siggy pic is updated as of mid March and i dont think i'll be doing any more updates till AFTER the summer is over. I hope i get a boost and pleasant surprise in September (crossing fingers). i may take progress pics before then but i dont think i will post them. Good luck to everyone! keep it up ladies!

So is it too late to get in on this? I see the original thread is closed...I think I can make BSL by October or so, and if I do I might as well see if I can get to MBL by 11:59 on 12/31...I'm pushing the envelope, but I like lofty goals.

I'm hoping to be BSL by July/August, then onto MBL!


ETA: I've switched up my regimen a bit. I wash 1x per week now, co-wash maybe two days out of the week. I try to moisturize at least once per day (twice would be preferable) and I wear updos/buns and braidouts.

Here's my update. I'm going to say I'm grazing MBL because the longest part of my hair is just below the bra stap. I think that's where MBL starts, but please correct me if I'm wrong. So by the next update, hopefully claim it and move on to WL.

**I know my hair looks crazy uneven but it's actually just the way it's sitting and that stylist bumped my ends a lot.
