I'm SOOO in this, I had planned on doing it on my own anyway. I might not last until the end of August because I'm headed down south and might get braids so I can swim all I want, but for the time being I'm in!

Hair Length: I was at APL but I cut a bit, so I'd say just above APL at the longest layer. The shortest layer (formerly bangs) is between lower neck and chin length.

Hair Goal: My goal is to survive this transition. I'd like to at least hold off on the BC until the 1 year mark or longer, which would be October. I alos want to give my edges a break.

Basic Regimen: Wash my hair every 3-4 days and plait it in 5 cornrows with some leave-in. Let cornrows airdry overnight (or even a whole day). Take the braids down and wear my hair pinned in an updo or bun for a few days. Then start over.

Products: I use NTM shampoo and leave-in, Suave Humectant Conditioner, Wonder 8 Oil on dry hair, Motions CPR as a light protein (every second wash), Profectiv Healthy Ends on ends

Hair Strengths: My hair is very thick, and it's the healthiest it's been EVER since coming to the board.

Hair Weaknesses: The texture difference of fully relaxed hair and my type 4 (8.5 mos worth) of new growth is my hair's main weakness. It's not my hair's fault, but sometimes I just get sick of dealing with my hair and am too rough with it.

How you will reward your hair for reaching your goal: Maybe a BC

I am in these ugly plaits until i am ready to go out,i realized rods are very important in a set for short hair, this incorprated w/hair vits, exercise and a high protein diet should help me grow a head of healthy long hair,I am determined to grow some hair, each month i strive for 1.5 inch
