Gurl bye! You are doing the most. :lachen:

@Morton ok if black and gay is the same why do I have a brother in Christ that is no longer gay and is married with a son? I know several gay people that have stopped living that lifestyle. You cannot decide not to be black like you can decide to stop being gay/living that lifestyle.

I'm not against gays getting married, civil unions or homophobic but I'm sorry that is like comparing apples to oranges. You gon die black but you don't have to die gay if you don't want to. Folks make different lifestyle choices everyday and some feel they were born gay. I don't argue with an already determined mine.

I dont believe that your brother is now heterosexual. But I wont disrespect what he chooses to call himself. :yep: Good luck to him.

If it was then you wouldn't have said what you said below. That was straight baiting.

To you, but not to me. I was pointing out it was a good rebuttal to the $6.50 comment that is made often irregardless of topic. I made that same comment in an unrelated thread. If you are prone to being baited or baiting, I can understand seeing it everywhere, but the only logical continuation of my comment would be to discuss the popular 'because I paid $6.50' line.

Ye shrug.

I disagree

Black people were fighting for HUMAN and civil rights. Gay people. regardless of race have HUMAN rights and civil rights as individuals.

Gay people are fighting to have the rights that are afforded to a male/female couple, they're fighting discrimination based on their sexuality.. not their humanity.

Possibly NOW, and not in every country. Historically, YES they fought for their humanity. They were among those gassed in Hitlers concentration camps. They have been lynched, and they have been jailed. They have fought for human rights, the same way we have.

I guess because of this?

Rule # 08. The owner of this forum is a believer of Christianity, and therefore this site does have elements that support the Christian faith.

No. This rule was in direct reference to the creation of the Christianity Forum.

I guess I'm in the right thread. I would like to ask a moderator or the owners, why among the rules of this forum there is:

"43. Same-sex relationships are prohibited from being discussed on this forum."

I'm confused: why is it prohibited? Why are man-woman relationships ok to be discussed? I ask this because my opinion may strongly differ from the one of the owners of this forum and therefore I may not continue my subscription. I strongly disagree with homophobia: as long as this is not the case, I will continue my subscription, otherwise not.
Thank you.

This rule applies to members who would potentially wish to discuss their own same sex relationships. It is too volatile, and we don't think we can moderate such threads farely. Generally, we've seen discussions about gay couples on the forums, and as you can see by this thread, they don't go smoothly.
