Lord some of you will never be pleased. You ***** when people don't have proof, and when they do it's not good enough. Then have the nerve to make a request
Great progress for such a short period of time jcsavestheday! (Compliment and KEEP IT MOVING...it's not that hard )
Jc does it really smell bad? Ive heard about it before and people say it smells like bacon grease. But you seem to have good success with it. Congradulations.
It does stink. But I cut the smell (a little) with EVOO and pepermint oil. It also helps that the bottle I have is a couple of years old (it helps just a tiny bit).
But overall it stinks, and I can smell it in my hair even after a CO wash and DC. I pretty much have to clarify with a mix of baking soda, clarifying shampoo and ACV (just enough to cause the chemical reaction and make a foamy paste). It forms a paste that I can then use to lather my hair and scalp enough to get rid of the smell.
What's wrong with asking for a picture?
She said she got 1.5 inches of growth in less than a month. That's amazing. I just wanted to see it.
Thank you jc, i need something to help my front grow. My back is taking off but my front is just. Im trying to be patient but the more the hair grows the wierder it looks. Im using castor oil at the moment to see if it will help. If it doesn't in a few months i feel i have to turn to something else. Im kind of afraid to use growth aids but i feel like i might have no other choice. Can you please keep us updated how your hair reacts to this over time. and if you are having any side effects like extra shedding or bumps anything like that. I would really appreciate it.
I've also pondered getting some monistat...

I'm not denying your hair growth. I'm just saying that since your original pics did not focus on new growth it can be hard to tell for us viewers, what growth was there pre MTG and what is there post MTG. You have two completely different sets of pics in early April and May.
I guess that I haven't established myself here enough to have credibility for some people. I figure that if a person is like " hey I had a bunch of growth, here's documentation" that people would be like "wow that's good."
I mean why would anyone make something like that up?
She's not saying somethings wrong w/ it. It's just that around here people always want proof (which I understand)and when proof is posted, sometimes it's not enough. That goes to show, you can't please everyone. She posted the pics she had. Clearly if she had more she would of posted.
all of the pics of my new growth are from this month. I had a relaxer in April and started using MTG a week post. If we take off (a generous) 1/4 of an inch to account for the fact that my relaxer probably wasn't done right next to my scalp, i still have a lot of growth.
I guess that I didn't expect to run in to this much skepticisim about some hair growth. I'm from Missouri (the show-me state) where we have a reputation for being skeptical and over analyzing things.

I mean why would anyone make something like that up? I mean I know my hair better than anyone, so I think that I would pretty well know if it has been growign more than usual.
oh well...

In my experience on this board, it is rare to see pictures that illustrate proof of growth in a manner that is straightforward. I don't think that it's because people are trying to lie to others. I think they just convince themselves of things that aren't there. And women here, who want so bad to grow their hair, would rather deny what they're seeing so that they can continue to believe that what they're doing is working.

I'm quite happy for you with your growth progress. Thank you for continuing to post pic after pic after pic with rulers and Bibles and attorneys (that was HILARIOUS SuperModelSonya)! I used MTG for only a few weeks because the scalp pain was more than I was willing to deal with at that time...maybe I'll revisit it. Congrats to you and keep doin' what cha doin'!!!
I wonder of Thomas was an LHCF member...seriously - don't worry about them. some people will always doubt. think about it - god couldn't even convince people who'd be waiting that the messiah had been sent; thomas didn't want photos, he wanted to stick his hand into wounds before he would believe. you could take a thousand pictures and have each one notarized, there are still people who would raise a fuss. ignore them.
Basically. . .
And I'm not saying I don't believe OP or she hasn't had great growth regardless of the actual inches. . .b/c it appears she has. But I don't see what's wrong with wishing for a clearer illustration or anything anyone said.
As for me personally, I never quite understood why ppl measure inches w/ rulers and stuff anyways. It's more about what you retain more than what you grow. I'd love to see your hair's length after your next relaxer
I digress, however. HHG OP and I love your hair's thickness! I'm glad MTG works for you
