I twisted my hair for the first time last week and today marks one week. As I was someone who cowashed often and all that, I have never gone more than one week without manipulating my hair. But I really want to keep these twists in another week. However, I am afraid of matting and/or tangling. So ladies, what do you think...1 week or 2 weeks? Should I redo them tonight or wait 1 more week? What do you all do?

Thanks in advance :yep:

I have to take me twists down after one week, but that is because they will look a mess otherwise. After day 5, my roots start to look puffy, so I take them out ASAP.

I say if they still look good then see if you can make it to two weeks.

I put some oil in my hair everyday; when I take my twists down they are not matted or tangled. If you are having any problems, try to add a bit of an oil or conditioner to detangle while taking your twists out.

I wear twists for 3-4 weeks. It can be done if you don't wash/cowash too frequently. How often are you co-washing?

ETA: Okay, didn't know this was a super old post. Lol.

i only leave them in for 5 days to a week. if i leave it in longer my hair starts to lock. ontop of them being fuzzy anyway. i think its because i moisturize my twists a lot.
