Qhemet Burdock Root Cream on relaxed ladies?

I'm relaxed and I have yet to try it on my hair when it is flat ironed.
I've only applied it when I air dry with no heat.
It's okay...nothing to write home about.
The only reason I may keep using it is because I know there are good ingredients in it.

I really wanted this to work for me. I tried it in several different ways (airdrying, leave in condish, rinse out condish, rollerset, wet hair, dry hair,.....) and NONE of them worked for my hair. I'm still trying to make it work for me because I like the ingredients and consistency but I think I'm ready to throw in the towel and give it to my cousin who's natural and seems to like it a little bit more...

When I was fully relaxed I used it sometime before giving it to my mom; it was nice, light and moisturizing, but it doesn't touch the Amla Olive Heavy Cream ( worked great on my relaxed and natural hair)

Also, I find that women with fine hair seem to prefer the burdock root butter cream. My hair is thick so it needs something more heavy.

I haven't tried this yet but I've been eyeing it for a while. Trying to decide between this and the amla heavy cream. I'm going to keep watching this thread for more reviews. :yep:

i'm not relaxed but even when my hair is flat ironed it's too light for my hair and doesnt penetrate like the amla and olive heavy cream. in order to use up the container i have i've started mixing in qhemet's hydrating honey balm, jbco and a little evoo into it to thicken it up a bit.

once this container is gone i'm going to go back to using the aohc. my hair is waaaaay too thirsty for the burdock root cream

I use it on my edges. and i'll put it on my ends. It's oil based...so i don't put too much on or else my hair will be a thin greasy mess

You can always purchase "Samples" of the Products to determine which will work best for you. The Sample Sizes are actually quite generous in size.:yep: They last a while.

ITA: About having thick hair the AOHC works great on my Relaxed Hair and NG particularly deep into a stretch. It absorbs and moisturizes quite wonderfully.:lick:

I use it, but it makes my hair very frizzy. I'm kind of underprocessed in certain spots. Once it's finished I wanna try the AOHC.

I'm relaxed and personally I like it. But to me the best thing Qhem makes is the Olive and Honey Hydrating Balm.

it was cool. i liked the heavy cream better, but the burdock was ok. i like thick stuff

I've used it for about a yr and it's a fairly good moisturizer, more so in the summer. In the winter, it doesn't do much for my hair at all. Last week I switched to Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship Leave-in and it is volumes better than the Burdock Root. I don't think I'll be repurchasing the Burdock Root now.

Funny you should say this. I had to use my herbal essence ltr as a leave before using the burdock root because alone the burdock root didn't quite cut it. I think i've come up with a pretty good pairing :yep:

This is a staple of mine. My hair is relaxed and I use it every night. It keeps my hair well-moisturized, but not too heavy and I get some sheen from it. I roller set and flat iron the roots, so I don't like products that weigh my hair down.

I have fine, texlaxed hair and I like the BRBC better than the heavy cream, but the winner is the hydrating balm. I used the BRBC for a braid out one particular time and my hair stayed moisturized and was very soft after it completely dried. I use it every now and then. I like the stuff but I'm still keeping my eyes open for the 'ultimate moisturizer' (aside from plain water). I might try mixing it with the LTR leave in too...

My bff is relaxed and I got her this for her scalp mostly which works nicely to keep it from getting dry. I also put some on her ends.

FelaShrine ... lol... I dont remember... I think I bought it, and based on the lack on excitement on this thread I sold it... I never actually tried it...
