WOW! It's amazing that her hair is actually 4B. I seriously thought it was type 3 hair but it's truly beautiful. Her little daughter is such an inspiration and her regimen is pretty simple too. It just goes to show you how our naturally kinky hair doesn't have to be unmanageable if we treat it the way it's supposed to be treated.
 
awwwwwwww...... i remember being her age with snap length hair, just wishing i was the other long hair girls. them days (sigh)

what a cute story. that mom knows what she's doing. i like to little girls with healthy, natural hair.

eta. i just read her story and it sounds like braids/plats are the way to go. they also helped me to grow out my little one's hair. i just learned that i can do smaller braids/plats and change the styles without taking her hair down. thanks op.

This brought back memories for me. As I child I had long natural hair.:yep: I have to learn how to braid so I can take care of my natural hair. I have a year to learn how to do it.:rolleyes:

What a cute little girl. Her mom is doing a great job with both her hair and with uplifting her self-esteem.
 
I loved her (Mom's) philosophy: "moisture, low manipulation and a gentle, patient touch."

Mom and daughter both have beautiful hair!
 
Thank-you for posting this. I love how the mother focuses more on treaching her daughter to love herself completely. And has allowed her hair to flourish.
 
This little gir's hair is proof-positive our hair can grow to long lengths. If only more young mothers (I'm talking about the ones I know) would develop a regime like this for their daughter's hair. Thanks for sharing.
 
Thank you for the post. She was telling the truth. My daughter hair is healthy beautiful and natural. Im going to try to reach my goal relaxed. Just to see if it can be done on my head. Then Im going natural. I really want my daughter to see me natural:yep:
