im very happy with the results,, i wont separate them since i wont be goin to work til tomorrow..in any event, i"ll flat iron it if needed...but it was definitely worth the investment!

Your curls do look good.

I'm waiting for a natural 4 to do them and separate the curls and then educate me on how you succeeded in separating the hair without it or the ends getting frizzy.

Ceebee3, been holding my breath for when you'll post your review. This teasing has been going on for a bit too long  : First you were gonna get them; nay, you were thinking of getting them. Then you were going to get them. Now you got them. Will you get your butt in gear and use them then post pics already! :pullhair:

thx, i left mine in overnight cuz i started my hair so late..maybe next time i'll use the dryer so i can test the timing that way :)

I also use them with no products on my hair (The other day I was thinking how good that is so I don't have to wash them that often coz they don't have a "product" smell except for a slight conditioner one, since I use them on freshly washed hair; but even that goes away before too long.)

Anyway, my advice is not to try it unless you won't be mad if you get frizz. My last attempt had me thinking that maybe I will just have to sport the frizz and accept it as another new style I can rock. Here are examples of my trying to separate them:

Maybe if I had an oil in my hair or applied one somehow while separating I could have had the same effect a curling iron would give? *shrug*

Not giving up yet....

MsButterfli, please share pics if you do separate them. Your hair appears silkier/more slippery than mine so it might be possible to get a frizz-free seperation!

Do you have the final results video link? I'm not a huge YT visitor so I'm stumped on where to find the second part of the vid. If it doesn't appear somewhere on the side.... (If it does, please direct me coz I'm lost.)

I was hoping to see type 4 hair Curlformer results separated.

ETA: Never mind I found the results vid. But they're not separated. When I say separated, I am talking about: You know how people would wear rollers before going to bed...in the AM if they just woke up and took them out and left the house without combing/styling/separating their hair, we'd think they were crazy or on crack. It's not normal to take curlers out and then just walk out the door with hair grouped in the sections it was held in curlers. So that's what I'm trying to avoid doing with Curformers. I'm hoping it's possible to get a look like this, even if it's not so slick, but just this cute looking like a rollerset/curling iron style:

oh ok, i see what you mean, i may try and use some coconut oil and slide it down the length of the hair and see what happens, worse come to worse i'll flat iron it lol

*and i think using some diluted lottabody will help holding it as well

I'm pretty sure I've seen a 4a-b use them with success, Nonie.

I'm just now sure how to keep them more than one day.

It's not that I don't believe they are successful. Lawd knows I have seen from my own experience they stretch and curl nicely. But I am yet to see a natural 4B show separated curls. Everyone's just worn them looking like tubes or like you just took out rollers from your hair. I'm not saying that as a diss, coz I'm guilty of it myself:

I'm yet to use heat with them and to use products with them, so I haven't given up hope that it's possible to achieve the look I'm going for, but I just haven't yet seen an example of it except on relaxed 4B hair.

I bought mine months ago and, to this day, I'm still baffled on how to use those things. I'm hoping the wonderful ladies on Youtube can help me.
