Hello All!

I've never formally introduced myself so here goes:
I started my journey with a BC in September 2007. I remained natural for 9 months before relaxing again. I relaxed June 2008.

Over the past 2 years I've probably done everything to my hair that brought me to the point of BCing the first time...:nono:

January 2008 4 Months After BC:

November 2008: Longest layer was SL, everything else was short:

December 2008 This was right after cutting the longest layer off the first time:

September 2009 Had to Chop from BKT Damage, colored with Bigen Oriental Black
Once again the longest layer was cut off the back, and about an inch all over:

Don't let the looks fool you...

Overall, I'm grateful that I still have hair. My hair could be healthy APL by now, now it's just brittle SL.

It's dry and breaking like crazy right now. I'm trying to hold onto it this time and bring it back.

I regret relaxing too often (every 6-8 weeks, bad I know) coloring like 2 times with demi, bleached highlights, bigen twice, and BKT. I'm throwing in the towel...

I've seen people come back from worse, so i'm hopeful. I'm just kinda mad that I had to bump my head this many times before realizing simple is better.

I've done wayyyyy to much to my hair the past 2 years, and it's finally catching up to me...we'll see how 2010 goes, all I know is it's going to be K.I.S.S. all the way.

Thanks for viewing/listening!

Beautiful hair! I'm still mad that you BC'd and reached SL in the same year!

I guess you're right, I BC'd in September 2007 and I think I made SL around Sep.-Oct. 2008.

I've never thought of it like that...

I've been so busy focusing on the length that I want and where I want to be in the future, I haven't even stopped to realize what I have!

New Year New Mindset.

OP I think that (personally) stories like yours are all the more sweet because they show that we can recover from set backs and that healthy hair is always going to be a work in progress with no slacking. At least you learned from your mistakes.

Your hair looks fab and I am sure you will get on top of the breakage.

OMG if that is damaged hair :look:
Your hair is gorgeous!!
Just KISS this year, because if you did bad things before and it looks like that, I can only imagine what it would look like with nothing BUT healthy practices.

How did BKT damage your hair? Your shine is amazing. I'm sure 2010 will be kind to you. Nice progress. Remember it can always be worse.

I'm sure once you find a steady regimen and try to K.I.S.S things will turn out for the best.

Thanks mommie!

It didn't agree with my hair. It fried it and it wouldn't respond to any of my products for over a month. My ends looked (and still look in some places, namely the highlighted portion of my hair) like fried noodles.

I'm not knocking the product, I just didn't have a good experience. I know people IRL that did have good results, but I can't recommend it.:nono:

That shine came from Sally's Argan Oil Serum. My hair really doesen't shine on it's own.
