I'm sorry but she's lost credibility with me! First off, if you're gonna use yourself as the "example" then you have to show it off. She should have videod or showed a lil footage of the "relaxer" process.

I'm curious to know what kind of relaxer was used and who the heck did it! cheese n crackers.. I would be sad too....

I'm sorry, but her hair doesn't look very convincing that it's relaxed... I expected a lil bit more than that! :ohwell:

Girl her hair is a HAM. I don't know why, but when I think of natural hair, I think of shrinkage. She had a pretty nice fro on her head and I thought her "press-laxer" would have given her a bit of length. I dunno. WHat I do know is that she needs to run back to that fro ASAP :lachen:

She needs to do something about that. I thought it was a wig bc I just knew she had some length from that fro. Something in the milk ain't clean. It looks heavy, damaged, and plain sticky. Did she not do a DC or something? Even my presses come our better than this.

Even though I completely understand how folks think her hair looks hard pressed instead of relaxed (hell, my first impression was that it was a wig), I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She has to know that people will be scrutinizing the hell out of her hair until the BC.

Right. Is it possible that she's like a lot of us for whom relaxers simply did not "take" or make the hair silky smooth?

I would hate to think this was all a hoax.

She looks sad :(

I like Lisa's book. I really like the section in it on conditioning your mind for more positive hair thoughts and the sections on scalp care.

I hope she is able to deal with this and recover. Nothing more I can really say :ohwell:

I was really expecting a lot more length too. Honestly she is just weird to me. Her voice, her hair, everything.

Her hair looks pretty bad IMO. Even when I wasn't taking care of my hair, at least my freshly relaxed hair looked good.

The comments are making me think the worst. Is it possible someone can take a screen shot so i can see the results on my phone?

It's really stiff and has no movement.

Her hair looks very dull and lackluster. Why isn't it longer with the fro she had you would have thought it would have been a little longer cause of the shrinkage. My hair looked healthier than this even when it was damaged. I wish her well but I miss the fro. I'm glad that my $6.50 gets the job done and I'm not a PJ.

$20 a month?! I hope that anyone that's even thinking about signing up does a search first so they can be redirected here, pay 54 cents a month and get 1000 times better information and guidance. :yep:
WOW. have you seen the website. $20 bucks a month and you get her line of products and she will help members "grow" their hair up to 24 inches. Hair club for hair growth time deal. This is unfortunate.

Hmmm, why do i think that she didnt actually relax it? It looks like a bad press job lol. Either way, it looks just awful, how would her hair be that short when it seemed that length when it was natural and shrunken? Something fishy about this..

the mere fact that she was natural and made such a BIG thing about getting a relaxer and how this will be her special contribution for 2010 blah blah  ...you would have assumed she would have videoed the relaxer experience no?:ohwell:

I didnt think anything of her natural hair anyway and i dont think anything of her ''relaxed '' hair either :look:

Hmmm.
I don't know but I do have a question.

If she just got a relaxer then why do her ends look like they do? Left side bottom is wavy or some type of curl/crinkle or something.

I can’t tell if her hair is relaxed or pressed, but either way I still think the whole concept is crazy and that she’s preying on certain individuals, mainly those who aren’t that knowledgeable in hair care in general, be it natural or relaxed, and those who are desperate for that ‘quick fix’. She’s a shady character, I know I’m not the only one that can see passed the shadiness. I still can’t believe she has actual ‘followers’, her whole approach and the way she markets herself kind of reminds me of Shima. :look:

I doesn't look like the perfect relaxer, from what i can see on my phone... Her roots still look a lil puffy, but everyone knows not all relaxers, especially virgin ones, can turn out perfect.

uhmm,

no

not buying it

that is NOT relaxed hair

I don't care what she says

maybe it's texlaxed VERY LIGHTLY AND QUICKLY

Maybe it's airdried BKT

But that is NOT what a relaxer is

Whenever I've seen a full virgin head go relaxed, the results are usually jaw dropping because of the fact that the hair was so fresh and suffered from zero chemical damage so the relaxed hair is all flowing and gorgeous

Maybe she just rollerset her natural hair and she will. . . I don't know. . .I give up, but that can't be freshly relaxed hair.

That doesn't look relaxed to me, looks like a pressed natural. If it is relaxed she did a terrible job, I wouldn't take any advice from someone who can't do a better job than that.

Sorry to be critical, but what's up with that awful shade of lipstick. Yuck.

I wonder. I know of two folks that had natural hair and then relaxed, bubblingbrwnsuga and then caisha, creator of boundless tresses. Gorgeous natural hair AND gorgeous relaxed hair and neither of them are doctors.

So how is she a doctor and um....specializing in this area and her hair looks like that? Nahh, wouldn't be following her!

I have watched a couple of her videos "curly fro" tutorial to name one....It seems that if she relaxed her hair it would be longer than this. It doesn't look relaxed and the ends look fried. When I flat iron my hair it gets straighter than that. I think this might be a hoax. If she wanted to show how to transition, why didn't she just use a volunteer with already relaxed hair?

I am sorry, but how long has she been growing her hair? It looks a hot mess. I thought it would be longer than that. I expect more from a self confessed hair guru.

It looks bad.

It's possible that she didn't relax bone straight. My texlaxed hair looked like that when I blow-dried it and flat ironed it. I don't understand why she'd lie, but then, I'm not familiar with her.

Whatever happened, it doesn't look like it was worth it.:nono:
