Hi Ladies..

I just want to thank you ladies so much for the LOVE and SUPPORT. All of you are a God send.

I cried my eyes out last night and this morning. After really looking at my hair I see that not only did this "stylist" cut at least 3" off the length she cut about 4" or more trying to give me layers. If it was just a short cut I could live with that but it's a bad hair cut. I can't do anything with it this way. So my only options are to go get a short hair cut or maybe a SL bob, or just weave it up for at least 6 months. So I called my awesome "weave stylist" this morning (crying of course) and she made room for me today at 1pm.

I'm still up for the BSL challenge this summer 2010..lol! I'm not down for the count!! And I'm going to leave my Avatar up for inspiration. You ladies have been wonderful and I thank you so much. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have this board!

I still have my faith, I still have my health, I still have my job, I still have my home, I have my family, I have my friends, and I have my LHCF sisters. I know everything is going to be alright.

And I'm going to pray for that stylist. I'm going to pray I don't see her out in the street with my tennis shoes on..:lachen:

I LOVE YOU GUYS! MUAH!

Please take pictures of your hair before your install so you can document how much progress you have in a few months from now.

Keep those tennis shoes in your car. LOL

That's what matters in this life. You hair will grow long before you know it. Big hugs to you :)

Your hair will grow back and use what happened as a good lesson. If your regular stylist is out of town, busy, can't be located...find something else to do with your hair until she's back!

Good luck on your new journey!

Sorry this happened to you! I still think your hair looks great, but I do understand that at the end of the day, you need to be happy with how it looks. You'll bounce back in no time. :)

I am sooo sorry! Your hair is still beautiful and it will be back to its original length and THEN some!

Do you want to tell us ATL members who you went to? :)

Hugs--

Girl!

I'm SOOOOO sorry. I feel your pain. Tell me the name and place of your stylist... a little description and... (me) :boxing: (your stylist) :thud:

Are you sure it's that bad? You might want to wash your hair and style it yourself. You'd be surprised. I almost always HATE the way they style my hair.... I prefer to leave the salon with wet hair.

Heavenly Touch Salon in Clarkston. All I wanted was a 1/4" trim. NOT a hair cut. I thought if I showed her what I wanted it would be fine. But once she cut into my hair all I could do was hope that if I didn't like the length that the cut itself would be ok and it would just grow out. I got BAD hair cut. It won't style and the front is even worse..

Girl she didn't style my hair. She chopped it up. I washed it and blew it dry and flat ironed it at that IS what I got. It's a bad hair cut. It won't do nothing. I just got a bunch of choppy layers. It's not even blended. It's hard to tell from the camera phone.

I'm SO SORRY that all this happened! Your hair still looks good. It'll come back. I know how it feels to cry after a bad haircut. 'Tis why I go to Supercuts and places like that for cuts and trims.

:bighug: hey, chin up, your hair after the cut is still longer than mine

No seriously, I think you did the right thing to decide to weave it up. Protect it, let it rest, and it will be back before you know it. Since you've been there before, you know it's just a matter of time before you're right back there again :yep:

HHG!

This is why I'm a complete DIY'er... I don't trust anyone w/ scissors near my hair :nono:

I'm sorry for the bad cut, but it'll grow back b4 you know it. The protective styling will definitely help grow out the layers and your hair is still gorgeous :yep:...

BTW....I think she definitely did that ish on purpose. She deserves to be put on BLAST for her hateration.

O! M! G! THis is getting quite RIDICULOUS Now!! :wallbash: Isn't there Something we can do with these *wack* stylists who ruin all our progress in one fell swoop? :wallbash:

lawsuit....anyone???

I agree layers are not that hard to cut i am self trained!! i think you should just grow the layers out. Im sorry this happened to you but you did it before you can grow it out again:bighug:

Oh my. Im sorry to see this and your hair will grow back just weave it up like you said and everything will be ok

Your hair looks good, but she cut way too much. I would be pissed off too.

I'm afraid to go get my trim in a few weeks now.

Awwww sugar! Im so sorry! Try not to focus on the negative, you are taking a good spin on things and in the end, hair always grow back.

Oh yeah that hefa did it on purpose. I'm sorry no more AA hair salons.:nono: And it's a shame too. At first I thought they (AA stylists) were just hating on the texture of my hair, because I'm a 3a/2. But since I've joined this board I think most (not all) AA stylist are jealous of ALL healthy long hair.

Caucasion hair salons love long healthy black hair! It's almost like they are amazed by it. And for them to have a black client with long beautiful hair glorifies them as talented stylists. My stylist/friend left her salon and now works in a "white" hair salon. She hated the drama. It's sad because I make it a point to support black businesses.

Never say never but I am saying it now: I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN A AA HAIR SALON AGAIN!

I'm sorry this happened to you, and it does look intentional, not in a good way either. But you have a good attitude; your hair was growing beautifully, and it will continue to do so. All you need to do is learn to self-trim so this can't ever happen to you again.

Your hair was long Bella and it still is but I know what you mean. Sorry that had to happen to you. Girl I thought you realize by now that if you want anything done, it's better to do it yourself. I don't know what's up with beauticians but I think they have something against black women growing long healthy hair. Your hair is long so next time use two mirrors and give yourself a blunt cut or you can search the web and find sites that offer instructions.

I think a good weave regimne for 6 months would do the trick...

I'm serious about coming down there.. I just need an address...

I’m so sorry this happened to you  I would have reacted in the same way >bighug<.
Your hair will grow back to the same length and longer :)
