IDK... I just happened to be in the car flipping through the stations and heard her talking about the album so I listened. Rosci acted like she was salty that MF said that was all her hair though. She didn't have to interject it into the convo like that. She was talking about being a regular person and people being able to relate to her music and her comes Rosci with "Yeah a real girl WITH ALL HER REAL HAIR". And MF was like yeah it's all my real hair real nonchalant. I found that funny... Maybe MF gets that all the time? And Rosci's weave rarely looks good so she needs to be quiet. That girl's hair had nothing to do with the convo.
ETA: I also find it funny that on a board full of women focused on growing long hair - many of which who get upset when someone weave checks them, asks if it's all their hair, etc. can't tell real hair from fake hair. They're the first ones to swear up and down somebody's hair is fake - when there are obvious signs that it is real and the ones that show obvious signs of fake hair they swear up and down it's real. How many AKeys hair is real posts have we seen? She wears wigs and weaves just like the rest. Same with Erykah Badu, Teyanna Taylor and a lot of other people. If y'all can't tell real hair when you see it what makes you think other people in the real world who aren't hair fanatics can? How is that any different?

I can't tell whose hair is real or fake sometimes. I mean seriously unless it texture/type/color mismatched or tracks or clips or showing... I really can't tell if it is not horrible ...or they had a bob or a mohawk the week before... but like Glam said... I rely on y'all to know so when I come and I ask.. I get a CO-RRECT answer...

She is on the Packers/Lions halftime, and it looked like an obvious weave to me--nothing wrong with that, she is in the entertainment industry and I think her real hair is long, but they wear weaves most of the time like Lauren London or Gabrielle Union. I know many of Guyanese with short and/or kinky 4a/b hair who are mixed directly and down the line. I don't know what race/hair texture has to do with long hair either. :-/ I thought we had this discussion a million times...

Exactly. I know MF, I don't know her well but she's the ex of a friend of mine. Her hair is real, she's "dougla", she's not 18...probably closer to 26 (that's how old her ex is, and he doesn't do jailbait). My family is also Guyanese...y'all are a damn mess.

I dunno... a lot of people are ULTRA CRITICAL of celebrities. Even if the person is pretty, they search for any imperfection (real or imagined) and blow it way out of proportion.
(Not directed at anyone personally, just a trend that I've observed)

ITA with the entire post. Her skin and features look flawless to me. Okay she's my new hair/skin goal. I'll probably be trying to grow that much hair until I'm 50..
Some of us are so good at tearing each other down that no "outside" help is required. This woman is naturally beautiful and naturally gifted. I'm also disheartened by all the comments and questions regarding her genetic makeup. Whether we care to admit it or not, many of us still find it difficult to believe that we're capable of possessing physical traits that we deem beautiful unless there is some admixture. It would appear that the more things change the more they really do stay the same.......

I love her hair...and personally I think it is all hers. She's been around a bit longer on the air ways here in Toronto and even back then she had the same hair...so I think it is real.

Nuff Guyanese people live here in Toronto. Many of my friends are full or half guyanese- guyanese-jamaican, guyanese-portuguese, guyanese-trinidadian, guyanese-native and on and on (and I'm talking Indian guyanese). I have guyanse family members too (also Indian guyanese). There is a large West Indian population here. She looks guyanese to me. I didn't even think she had black in her until I saw it posted that she said that. She looks like many of the Indian Guyanese girls here. I don't usually make generalizations but ...... Indian Guyanese girls do seem have thick long black hair which they inherited from their Indian ancestors. My friends and family have drool worthy hair, better looking than hers. I have Guyanese friends and family that look Black but they are not black. They just have dark Indian in them or a little bit of Black.
OMG she's my new music thrill! I love her music, and I watch her vids on YT often. I think she is very beautiful, talented, and of course her hair is BANGIN'. She also seems to have a warm spirit. She does remind me of a black Amy Winehouse with the voice, and style. Speak of the devil, she's on the radio right now...{Sings} "...And it Kills me..." ;-)

Anyways I am eyeing homeboys fro in the pic next to her. It's beautiful.
I think Melanie is ok looking. I don't really like her music. Some of her songs are OK, but I wasn't expecting such a strong voice out of her, it almost doesn't fit her. When I did hear her on the radio I def thought it was Jazmine Sullivan until I seen a video I think. Either way she's pretty and does have a powerful voice.

her background west indian she's from canada. her parents both have the same silky hair, so it's her hair, I just think she adds hair for fullness and super length.
not everyone's hair is fake ya'll, some entertainers do have hair they just enhance it.
and at the end of the day everyone has black in them, people were just dispersed different places.
when I see her I see a black women with silky hair from other mixtures but I still see a black women no matter what.

It's for sure hers! It's a genetic blessing.. not to say others can't grow theres that long but the average person can not withouot a lot of effort.. she is a lucky girl!
