OMG!!! This is it! (I think!) When I was using all Nexxus products on my hair, I had no issues. Now that I've switched over to Phyto, my hair isn't the same. It's healthy but something is different. I think this may be it!!

Thank you so much for posting this!!! I think I'm going to go back to Nexxus for the first half of 2010 and see if I notice a difference!!

This is totally my Aha moment!! And it came just in time because I am really starting to hate my slow growing hair!!! Again, thank you so much!!!

Oh your more than welcome!

All natural heads aren't cute and I know you know that! HAM's happen with both relaxed and natural heads. I understand the point you are trying to make, but blanket statements like this take us down the wrong road!

Thank you because I am relaxed and my hair never looks a "HAM."

The class syllabus for UoR

Leave Ins and good combs 101
Updos 201
Trims when necessary 301
How to be relaxed and enjoy LHCF 501 ;)

Seriously we should go through and cover each topic in depth, im sure someone needs it
*Like me LOL*
Does anyone know anyone on YT that does a good dust video?

OK seriously. I love this University.
I've been working on my hair for a minute and trying to stay optimistic.:ohwell:
When does registration begin??

Tee, :nicethread:
I would teach:

Whats in your water? The effects of mineral buildup on the hair and treatment methods.

Classes I would take:

Rollersetting 001 :giggle:
Reviving overprocessed hair
Self relaxing

and anything else Supergirl and Sistaslick care to offer...

I thought of Other Topics (which 'probably' have already been addressed):

1) The "Art" of Proper Detangling (deep into a Stretch) and how to successfully 'handle' those "Dreaded" Single Strand Knots

2) Cones -- The Good, The Bad, The Ugly:look:

3) How to make the Most of Proteins -- Silk Amino Acids, Silk Protein, Wheat Protein, Soy and how to just get along

Wow I would love to take some of these classes

These are some classes I would like to take:

Organic/natural products vs. Salon products
Using Organic/Natural Products with relaxed Hair: Is it really a contradiction?
No Heat Styling: Braid-outs/Twist-outs etc..
Are you "protein sensitive"?
Protein Moisture Balance for Dummies
How to Deal with people that look down on you for Relaxing :giggle:

Classes in Consortium with the University of Natural Hair:

Transitioning 101
Transitioning without Chopping your Hair
How to Read Hair Product Labels

What should be taught here?
*Hair Restoration 101- This course could teach you the science behind which key ingredients aid in replenishing the nutrients relaxers take away.

*Swinganomics- The art of getting that blingy, "Salon Swang" in a healthy way.

What would you be interesting in learning?
I want to learn healthy hair discipline. How to get over my hair anxiety, hands in hair ocd, and stretching procrastination. Also, have the patience to put my hair away, nourish, and baby it till I reach my healthy hair goals...

If you taught a class, what would it be?

*Ceramides!!! Natural vs man-made, how to use them and why are they so important for relaxed hair.

Its The Remix!!! Are your hair products not working for you? Learn about some cool, funky, product combinations to get the most out what you thought was a waste of money....

Ok..... This thread is the best idea ever. This really needs to be put into fruition. I can see my major being "Full blunt Classic Length" and graduating with my "Healthy Hair Degree" :lachen:

I want to take all of your classes!!!
besides I am reading through the ceramides thread and I am learning so much!!!!!!!!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

I thought of Another One:

1) The Crown, The Nape, The Edges (What is Your Challenge) --- And How to Deal with Scary Places.....

2) Is it Shedding OR Is it Breakage ---And how not only to distinquish between the two, but how to "treat" and/or combat the two.

Seriously we should go through and cover each topic in depth, im sure someone needs it

Does anyone know anyone on YT that does a good dust video?

I'm getting excited just with the thought of all these classes. I want to take them all, not sure how many I can teach though:look::lachen:

Msb, Tracy from KISS has a pretty good dusting video on YT (see link below), you should subscribe to her videos as well, they're all very informative.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3C0ndGIZpg

1. How to find a qualified stylist to relax your hair
2. Scalp health 101
3. How to choose the right relaxer for your hair type/texture

1. Breakage! Is it the protein or the moisture your hair is lacking?
2. Airdrying without adverse effects
3. Rollersetting tips and tricks.

The classes I'd enroll in would be:

1. Styling 101.
In Styling, they'd teach how to do braidouts, twistouts, bantu knots, flat iron, and how to make some pretty buns. Because right now, I can do...pretty much none of those things.

2. Ayurveda 101
It would teach what all the powders and oils do, how to prepare them, and how to use them properly.

3. Advanced Rollersetting
I can rollerset almost perfectly, but I need to learn some stuff. I still have issues anchoring the rollers really firmly, and I still need to work on my tension.

4. Moisture 101
My hair exists in a perpetual state of dryness. ;_;

5. Trimming and Dusting 101
My hair is so lopsided, it hurts. :nono:
And I'm too frightened to let a stylist up in my head to even it up, because I don't want to be taken to even ear length (and they will do it), so I just walk around with crooked hair. It would be so nice if I could learn to do even trims.

Ah, how about I didn't know there was "101" threads.... ah, yeah good looking on that. :yep:
