I was just about to start a thread on with the same exact line and I have the exact passion about this product.

KNOT TODAY IS THE VERY VERY BEST DETANGLER IN THE WORLD!! I CAN HONESTLY SHOUT THIS TO THE WORLD!!

I have the thickest, nappiest hair (4 z) in my crown area and knot today gives me slip like none other! I love the fact that most of the ingredients are all natural and when I researched the others they aren't that bad. I pray they never discontinue it. Where was this stuff when I was child...

So you knew about this :slap: and you didn't tell me?????? I am glad there is someone else who shares my passion about this product....

Hello Ladies!!!

Sorry this is off topic...can any one recommend a good brush and comb for detangling 4b hair, I have broke 4 combs and the brush's I have pop's my hair right off. Again I am so sorry to post this off topic question!!! Any help will be appreciated.

I don't really like the Come Clean poo. I find it extremly drying to my tresses. Especially since it's sulfate free. I only used Knot Today once...well one bottle. Ya'll making me wanna get some more though.

epiphany...have you tried a plastic pic or a denman brush? You can get a denman from Sally's or online. There some knockoff sold at like Walgreens or something too. I have type four hair and a good condtioner or detangler and my fingers or those products above help me to detangle. I hate using the denman though but it does work.

I need something like this. I want to stretch for 4 months for the first time. I'm 5 weeks post and I already can't detangle. I used to think my hair was 4a, but now I think it's 4b, growing like weeds and the ish I used to use don't. work. no. mo.
I bookmarked the site. I'll wait a week or so and see if any sales pop up, but otherwise, I'm gonna order on the weekend.

Do you have a wholefoods in your area? Thats where I got mine.

I've been looking for a good leave in. I've tried many, but haven't found the "one" yet.

Now, I'm going to go to WF to buy this and ONLY this. I'll just keep repeating this to myself:look:

I agree Knot today is a really good detangler leave-in, I was surprised. I tried it after a member at a meet up told me she used it in her hair.

I didn't want to try it at first, because the line seemed geared towards defining coils/curls and I don't purchase coil/curl defining products much.

I shouldn't have either. I am a total PJ and I just bought the Yes to Carrots conditioner today. I think I have about five different brands. . . but I could always have one more. :lick:

That stuff is the bomb.com.org.gov.net.edu! I use that and sometimes Yes to Cucumbers...I can detangle my naked new growth with it! It's that good! I use them as leave-ins too. My hair LOVES conditioner!

Buy the WIDEST tooth comb they have at Sally (it's brownish orange with a thick, thick handle) & a DENMAN BRUSH! Both items are the truth and leave me soft & tangle free!

Do you have a wholefoods in your area? Thats where I got mine.

Daggumit! I walked away from the KC stuff @ Whole Foods with FORTITUDE! Y'all gon' make me go back!

PS- The wedges in your avi are hot fiya in the morning with cheesegrits!

I'm happy it works for you. I still have a full bottle sitting on my vanity. It does NOTHING for my hair. I think my hair prefers creamy detanglers/moisturizers etc

Mine, too, Ediese. :yep:

I've used Knot Today and I did find it to be an good detangler. However, the absolute best detangler I have ever used in my entire life (without exaggeration, and with the exception of the gone-but-not-forgotten Qhemet Biologics Olive Cream Detangler) is the Alba Botanicals Leave-in Conditioner and Detangler. :yep: That joint is like a dream come true for my fine, 4A/4B hair. :yep: Netta, just a heads up - the AB Conditioner also contains marshmallow root, and the Knot Today does, too. I think I may have mentioned this in a thread a long time ago but I think my hair agrees very well with anything containing marshmallow root; it really helps with detangling.

Anyway, the AB is creamy, decently moisturizing, sinks into my hair awesomely, and performs brilliantly as a detangler. :yep: I much prefer it to Knot Today. :yep:

I've been meaning to try this. Everywhere I go that's supposed to have it is sold out. I might have to order online. But I'm going to wait until my jane carter leave in runs out. I don't like it that much but I don't want to throw it away.

Thanks for mentioning this! I've been looking for something for a good while now. What moisturizer do you use or do you only apply the AB?

No problem! :yep: After putting this in, I wait a few minutes and then use my regular Qhemet products - namely, the leave-in conditioner (which I find to be a better moisturizer than detangler) and the Amla and Olive Heavy Cream to seal the moisture in. :yep: This leaves my hair soft for most of the day, and when I re-wet it with rose water it activates the curls all over again. I really love this combination. :yep: I hope this helps!

Thanks so much! I've been searching for something to keep my hair uber moisturized without it feeling greasy. I tried something once, and it made my hair feel great but I could never duplicate it. :ohwell:

Well, I'm a QB fiend, and that's largely due to the fact that that's the only product I've had success with (that and Miss Jessies, but I feel that their buttercreme is filled with comparatively inferior ingredients). :yep:

K- cutter comb and a denman brush. I had to order my K-cutter on line and bought the denman from Sally's.

Yes this is the one for my thick hair.....:hair:

I was surprized too...looking at the bottle like

How much does it cost? I have to pass by Whole Foods today?

I can't remember, I'm sorry....

:giggle: Sorry Netta! :giggle:

But on the real - Jessicurl's conditioners (my favoritest conditioners of all time, and I thank Charzboss every single time I use them! :yep:) contain marshmallow root. :yep:

LHCF, you make me so mad! :fistshake: Why y'all gotta do me like this?

I went to Whole Foods today to get a bottle of KC Knot Today...and every single bottle was gone. And I know y'all sneaky behinds are to blame; every other Kinky Curly product was fully stocked except for that one empty row of conditioner. :pyro:

So, I had to go to another Whole Foods where I promptly bought three bottles of conditioner and left two or three towards the back for the rest of you. :sekret:

My sister is transitioning and she uses it and loves it.
I'm relaxed but I'm considering it for my NG.

how did I end up in this thread.. I just knew I was lookin for flat iron recommendations....I've been eyeballing knot today for a while. When I did go to order it, it was out of stock.. Now after reading such a good rave about it, the urge buy is back... what's a girl to dooo ??

I just purchased both the KT and KCC from Naturallycurly.com. I just couldn't take it anymore! The KT was $12.00 and 16 oz of KCC was $30.00. Can't wait for it to come, I hope it works on my 4b hair.

:lachen::lachen::lachen: ... I thought I was the only one who felt like this when I go out to get a product i've heard about on here... first thing that pops in my head.."damnnnn they move quick!"

I was going to mention this. I have tooted Knot Today in past threads but I think either you or Nonie mentioned Alba as an even better detangler. I'm skeptical, but my interest is peaked , so I think I will at least try for comparison. Now I'm basically using water to detangle with only a little diluted Knot Today. This is a change from the heavy layering of conditioner + Knot that I was doing before. I think it was too creamy. Life is so much easier now.

ETA: The KCCC was not good for me....too gooey. Plus it left my hair crunchy and just was an unnecessary addition.

YES!!! I just tried the Knot Today and the KCCC this weekend and though I used it wrong [ended up with flakes cause I didn't strip the other crap I had on my hair off] I still loved the outcome. I'm going to use it again this weekend and if all goes well, which I truly believe it will, I'll post pics next week. I missed the rave too about Kinky-Curly. Where can I find it???
