I'm going to wash it today when I shower and my daughter is going to twist it for me, but what should I do for the dryness.

You should do an olive oil and castor oil mix hot oil treatment, you can mix the oils put them on your hair and sit under the dryer for a least 30 minutes...rinse well then follow up with a good deep conditioner and sit under the dryer with it, because the oil mix my make it feel kinda hard. You can also slack up on the shampooing and just co wash in the future...but to the oil mix treatments everytime you wash or co wash...that worked for me..my hair was colored and looked and felt like hay.. Also try fish oil pills they give the hair a natural sheen...

MJ: Please handle your hair "gently" and watch what you use.

Especially if/since you had anesthesia. Just DC with some HSR, WC or something like that really moisturizing that you already use regularly.

And since your surgery was an Emergency (and not planned) keep up on your vitamins. I've heard alot of people say: anesthesia can take your hair out.:perplexed

Keep us posted. Feel Better Girl.:yep:

I agree anesthesia does make the hair shed....a lot.
Get lots of moisture..not so much shampooing

Thanks Terri, I will use the WC and do a dc with the HSR, I also might do a hot oil treatment when my daughter gets here. Thanks everybody

You can also try a nettle tea rinse. It's great for encouraging hair growth and moisture. Just did one today. Steep a tea bag, add the contents to an applicator bottle. Concentrate on your roots and then pour some on your hair. Don't rinse out. Hair feels very moisturized afterwards.

Girl, please just take care of Yourself. And definitely "watch" your hair. Don't do any unnecessary stuff to it for a while.

okay???:look: Low Manipulation too as much as possible.

All I can think about is You Taking a Swing at that Nurse in the Recovery Room:lachen: for almost touching your Hair.

Your Poor Husband..... Cute Story.

Please Be Good While you are Recovering. Thank You.

coconut oil as a pre-treatment, add a little coconut oil to your conditioner, and put a little on your hair after you are finished. I LOVE LOVE LOVE coconut oil, not only for shine but also because it penetrates the hair shaft.

Hey you can try DC'ing on dry hair with HSR or WC then follow up with co-washing instead of shampoo

Well here's my update. My daughter came this morning so while I waited for her hubby mixed some EVOO and JBCO with peppermint and rosemary eo's for me. He warmed it up and applied it all over my hair and then I put a plastic cap until my daughter got here. I had it in for about 45 minutes. then I co washed with AOWC and I used some AOHSR for a dc under my steamer for 30 minutes and I rinsed with cool water. I used MBC as a leave in and then used Afroveda Shea Alma to moisturize and JBCO to seal. My daughtehairr twisted my hair with some ECO styler gel. My hair looks shiny and feels wonderful. thanks all for your suggestions.
