This is embarrassing, but before the forum, I didn't know the difference between a clarifying and a moisturizing shampoo or protein v. moisturizing conditioner...
(

It's not embarassing, I just found about clarifying this year. I finally figured out why my relaxers never straightened my hair, it was because I didn't use anything but let's jam and I had it caked up and didn't wash my hair before seeing the stylist to relax.

I had never clarified before. Looking back I can't belive it.

I didn't have a stash, my mother traveled a lot so I used a lot of those hotel shampoos and conditioners.

I used tcb grease, the black gel for a while then I upgraded to Let's Jam:perplexed.

I used motions moisture plus sometimes and cholesterol any brand.

I never used leave ins or protectants or protein treatments. Sometimes I just would wash with shampoo and but my dry hair in a ponytail with some jam and call it a day.

My hair stayed at shoulder length.

I used the same stuff, Joico silk, Matrix sleek line, nexxus nothing has changed. I actually was doing better towards my hair, i'm loyal to my hair on and off takes too much time and energy sometimes.
alfaparf hair shine, sebastian hair shine, alter ego shine spray (now called bright and shine).

-Pink Oil then graduated to Smooth N' Shine Oil Moisturizer
-Herbal Essence shampoo
-Smooth N' Shine Polisher
-Satin Scarf
-Gold N' Hot tools large barrel curling iron

Here was my list:

At the time,

hair length : SL; Barely collar bone length when things went well.
Products used:
Dax hair grease
Pink moisturizer
Shampoo-Timothy's, head and shoulder or Creme of nature
NO conditioners used
At time used vaseline
Dark n lovely hair relaxer.
At time TCB yellow hair grease

I also used to flat iron my hair with nothing but hair grease in my hair. No heat protection, no straightening serum.:nono:

Today, what products I still use on this list???

None!!!!!!!!!!

Hair lenght: Pass BSL...almost mid back( back) to APL(sides)

oh I forgot about this!I loved this set.Actually,I think I've always been a PJ.I just started remembering other stuff I used to buy.:lachen:

Pre-LHCF, I used the entire line of KeraCare because that's what my stylist used. :yep:

Pre-dedicated stylist, I used Pantene moisturizing shampoo only b/c it came in the largest container I could find. I DC with cholesterol with heat for about 30 minutes and always rollerset with Lottabody setting lotion, Infusium-23 and sat under the bonnet dryer. I moisturized with Lusters Pink Lotion also.:ohwell:

It always grew to MBL and I'd cut to SL. My hair was always very thin and damaged as I was getting those retouches every 6 weeks. :perplexed I'm so thankful for LHCF.

1) Motions - Moisturizing DC, CPR, Relaxer, Shampoo and conditioning headdress (I still like the CPR and Silk protein from this line)
2) TCB Hairfood grease:nono:
3) African Pride grease (I seriously thought this would make my hair grow):perplexed
4) Palitas (for use when I was in braids) - this wasnt too bad actually, really kept my hair seriously moisturized!

I didn't really have a stash. But the few things that I do remember having is grease, pink oil moisturizer, and that pump it up spritz. Oh and before LHCF, I NEVER used to wash my hair, except when I went to the hairdresser to get it relaxed, which was about every 4 months or so. Crazy, I KNOW!!

BB Super Gro
Isoplus oil sheen
On second thought, Isoplus ANYTHING
Dark N Lovely SUPER no-lye relaxer (every 6-8 weeks )
Pantene shampoo/condish

Right before LHCF it was

the Pantene R & N line
Indian Hemp grease
multiple relaxer(bc they would stop working after a while)
tea tree oil(itchy dry scalp)
many different colors of hair dye
Pump It Up (for my weaves)
Sheen Spray
Some kind of gel(hair hated it then still hates it now)

I didn't really have a "stash" I just used whatever was in the house there was this spray though it came in a clear bottle that made pressing my hair "easier" can't remember what it's called

LOL

I had Carrot Oil moisturizer
Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Shampoo
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner

AND A FLAT IRON ON HEAVY ROTATION.

Thank God I was a natural then, my hair didnt break off at all. It was in braids and grew amazingly, in about a year and a half it was shoulder length. But the last time I had a relaxer before the natural hair I used Pink Oil and Garnier Fructis shampoo and that was it. Of course my hair all fell out lol

LoL a hot mess of stuff.

Lusters Pink Moisturizer.... sooo unbearable greasy.
Sulfer 8 for my scalp
African Pride Braid Spray (had my hair in braids mostly)
Infusium 23 original leave in

Went WAYYYY to long without washing my hair. Wayyyyy too long.
