Motions...and the Infusion 23 crap...and whatever random product I picked up at the store that promised sleek hair. I was a PJ, but kept picking the wrong things

At the salon - Hawaiian Silky relaxer and whatever other dominican products they used (I would usually bring my own shampoo and conditioner)

Giovanni Tea Tree Shampoo + Conditioner - got this from Costco a long time ago, so imagine my surprise when I started on my HHj and found out it was such a beloved brand

For my roller sets - Pantene Relaxed & Natural Wrap Set Spray, Olive Oil Organics Wrap Mousse

Sebastian (Laminates?) Detangling Milk

Moisturizers & oils - didn't have any; they would get in the way of my swang:look:. I wouldn't even let my DR hairdresser put perfect for perms or sheen spray on my hair when she styled my hair:look:...can't believe I was so ignorant

DC - didn't have any. Used Giovanni or the the dominican-provided conditioner every 6 weeks, at most:nono:

Also, my T3 flat iron and gold n hot curling iron - used those about every other day once I was 2 weeks post to maintain my look :nono:

ETA: oh wait, I almost forgot Chi + Biosilk. how could I leave those out - these two were the only things close to an oil or moisturizer that ever touched my hair :lachen:

Any shampoo and a matching conditioner that was in the 'ethnic hair care section' and was for dry, breaking hair.

Any moisturiser. I tried to alternate between thick and thin. Couldn't figure out why none of them worked (mineral oil, no water, et cetera).

A pick with the fist and the peace sign. I used to pick my hair out. Man I totally regret never knowing I had these curls.

ORS Box Perm
ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo
ORS Paks (I loved those!)
ORS Wrap Foam
ORS Oil Sheen Spray
Tressemme Shampoo and Conditioner
Andis Flat Iron
VO5 Conditioner (I used to co-wash, I thought I invented it)

No Moisturizer, no grease, no heat protectant.

Some kind of shampoo & conditioner I don't even remember. I tried out whatever was new from the magazine's: Motions, Pantene Relaxed & Natural, etc (I guess I was a little bit of a PJ even before LHCF!)
And of course, Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer and Sulpur8.

Hello everybody...newbie checking in with her 1st post...

my stash was basically any old shampoo; dark and lovely box relaxer and some blue magic grease:nono:

Blue Magic Grease-used frequently
Pink Oil Moisturizer-used frequently

Tressemme Conditioner -hardly ever used

Thank goodness the days of my bad hair care practices are over!

Any old shampoo and sometimes I'd use dishwashing soap if I ran out. No condish and definitely no oil cause I wanted that "white girl swang" :nono:smdh

OMG!! When I first looked at your signature photo, I thought that was YOU. You should have seeeen the look on my face, I was thinking ...How did THAT happen???

I didn't have a stash.:perplexed Moisture Max was my best friend and that was all i knew. The FIRST ingredient was mineral oil, not even water.:lachen:

Okay are we talking back in the day day?? I see the jam and pump it up...:lachen:
Or right before we found LHCF...?

Right before I found LHCF I used Biolage everything and then Ojon everything.. a bit of Aveda here and there..

My stash after LHCF tripled in size and grew into every room in the house...LOL.. and in the garage.. but now it contains way more natural and organic items.. and that I'm proud of.

ETA: Y'all got me rolling over here with the pink oil... I had stopped using that in the late 90's... LMAO... Shoot Blue Magic prolly got cut in the 80s after I would go play outside and it would be streaming down my face like sweat...:lachen:

My Stash consisted of Summitt Products the Grease for what ever problem you were having with your hair,Dark and Lovely perm that brown horrible Gel,Pink Oil moisturizer and Pantene shampoo and conditioner the black Line.

As a child, I was told to use Queen Helen grease on my face and hair! Later, They put Sulfur 8 grease on my scalp -It's smelly stuff! Then as a teen, I was into Pink Oil, S-Curl, Jerrie (sp) Curl stuff, Hot 6 Oil...

But Later it was...

Oyin Whipped Pudding (started using Oyin product 2 month pre LCHF)

Organics Shea Butter or Olive oil (which I used for my two strand twists and I wore these every day for years. I would redo them every week or two. My co-workers are thrilled that I've worn my hair down/different for two weeks now.

My staple was Silk Elements Conditioner

Experimented with Twist 'n Locs Natural Oil Shampoo and various others.

KeraCare Cream Hair Dress

Perfect Results Miracle Stimulater

Pretty much any kind of thick, creamy hair dress that promissed to lube my twists and didn't make my hair fall out...The problem was I rarely used any protein products and never properly detangled my hair...

This is embarrassing, but before the forum, I didn't know the difference between a clarifying and a moisturizing shampoo or protein v. moisturizing conditioner...

Thought it was cool to wash my hair every two weeks and hard hairstyles and Pump It Up Spritz was one of my staple products...

So I basically used whatever shampoo I could find in the house and I would lather up 3 or more times to make sure my hair was clean.

In other words, I wreaked havoc on my hair. :-(

Doo Gro- relaxer,shampoo,deep conditioner,treatment,and grease
