I have the most trouble in the back of my head. They are usually very loose at the roots. How is your head postioned. Are there any good tutorials or videos? I don't really go on fotki so I wouldn't know. Youtube usually shows it from the front but if someone knows of something I don't I really would appreciate the help as I want to TST my hair and not have to deal with my hair for awhile.

I pull my hair to the side toward the front. It's long enough to reach. When it was shorter I just pulled the hair up. My hands in the air. And the back, I would just pull toward the front. I don't know how to describe it, I never thought of it as an issue. hmm...

I've worn TST for 5 years now. I start with the back first so I'm not too exhausted to be patient with my hair. Also, start your TST with 3 sections -as though you are braiding it. Make about 3 rotations and then resection the hair into two parts and then start the two strand twist. This way your hair stays firm to your scalp now matter how you position your hands.

I will try to be clearer. Once again. Gather your hair has though your are going to braid it. Begin the braid but only complete 3 or 4 rotations, then resection the same hair going from 3 sections to two sections. Begin twisting.

This way, I can make my TST last for two weeks if I'm really busy. However, I usually redo them every week.

Yes I get what you are saying and I have heard of that but I wanted to do it like the pros. That will probably take practice so I will do it the way you suggested because I am too eager already.

Love your hair. Does the vid. to your mask routine work yet? I found the link on your fotki book.

I don't pull the the side until I do a few rotations at the root to make it snug. For me it's easier to twist the back when the two strands are parted horizontally instead of vertically.

I usually have my arms down hands to the side and I turn my head to bring the part I'm working on closer to my hands. I tire easily if my arms are up in the air (that's why I hate cornrowing my hair) so I tend to turn my head to bring the part I'm working on to where my hands can reach.
