I went in Sally's the other day all excited but i couldn't find anything. all i saw was the black & white generic label products, box relaxers and salon stuff. i left with a shower comb:ohwell: i couldn't find anything:lachen: maybe i went in a bad one.
whats everyone getting????

Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1

Wild Growth Hair Oil

That's about all i've been able to find in there except for hair accessories and bottles to mix products in.

The only thing i found was a shower comb. They didn't even have seamless combs and the salespeople didn't even know what at seamless comb was:perplexed. My daughter also said she found nothing

My best buy from there is my cricket iconic and tourmaline blow dryer. That bad boy is da bidness! Blow drying, yes blow drying leaves my hair silky, smooth and moisturized! Man, I love that blow dryer LOL

That's about it for hair. I buy stuff for my pedi's I do at home and nail magic---magic in the bottle. My nails are dumb long and strong. So long to the point I have to cut them down. My nails never grew before.

oh yeh i did also buy a smally empty spray bottle. don't know why..its under the sink..empty..lol

Don't sleep on the generic products. Their ingredient lists match the real products EXACTLY! Same order and everything. You can get the same big name quality, for wayyyy cheaper.

I get:

- Hair color glazes
- Silk Elements Moisturizing Deep Treatment
- Aphogee products
- Denman
- Ion products (when I want it)
- Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1
- Vitale Hair Mayonaisse

I agree the selection varies from store to store, but from learning more about hair practices and ingredients... I find there is more and more of "nothing worth buying" in almost every store I'm going into these days.

I got several aphogee products and roux porosity control from there--I was glad because they didn't carry the porosity control at the main BSS I go to. However, I didn't see much else there! Like you, I guess I went in expecting to find a mecca of hair supply products but didn't lol.

Wild growth oil (haven't used in 4 months)

Aphogee Products (Only when I can't find them elsewhere)

Eco Styler Olive oil styling gel

Curlformers rollers

Denman brush

Shower comb

Sallys too expensive for my taste.

Aphogee
shower caps/ deep conditioning caps
sleep caps & bonnets
empty bottles for mixing
Porosity control
heat protectant
GVP products
Lustrasilk
Roux
combs & brushes
hair pins & accessories
hair magazines
flat irons, blow dryers, curling irons, pressing combs
spa quality nail, hand & foot stuff
fake eyelashes
makeup
body wax stuff...

I stay in Sally's.

I get my Aphogee products from Sally's...that's about it. For anything else, I go to my neighborhood mom and pop bss.

I rarely go to Sally's for anything. However, I do like their Proclaim products, especially neutralizer shampoo and serum. However, I'm a product minimalist :look: so it takes me years to use up those products.

I picked up my Denman
Bobby Pins
Shower Comb (I like the Conair one better tho)
Carbon Combs (to comb and chase without melting)
Rollers
Ors Conditioner Packs
Aphogee 2 min
Elasta qp feels like silk gel
My LOGO Shears

Hot Six Oil for my Mama

I buy Hairone cleansing condish, porosity control, mendex, silk elements leave in and I'm thinking about buying the generic conditioning balm.

I have only been to one Sallys in Boston and I really didn't see the hype. Between the 1 zillion BSSs around me and Rickys in NYC im good. I think I got some rollers there because thats the only BSS I know when I am in Boston.

Since, I joined LHCF, all I've bought is a Denman.

I've gone to a few Sally's and have asked for the Denman and the salespeople look at me like this :spinning: So much for that purchase.

I don't really find anything at Sally's either. I buy rat tail combs, rollers, bobby pins, just stuff like that.

Now ULTA is a different animal all together. I go crazy in there with all the make-up, perfume, hair products, etc.. My kids have forbidden me from going there LOL :lachen:

I buy:
Curlformers
Denman brush
Shower comb
Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1
Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor
Silk Elements Lye Relaxer - Mild
Silken Child Moisturizer
Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol Conditioning Treatment
Good Day Hair Pins
Plastic Bags
Aura Rosemary Mint Rejuvenating Condtioner (Aveda knock off)

That's all I can think of for now...

I buy my aphogee products, Silk Elements products, Proclaim Natural 7 Oil, and what I can't live without HAIR ONE

I buy aphogee hair products, shower combs, some generic version products, and some spray/applicator bottles. :yep:

That's about it.

My most recent trip:

Denman brush
Denman comb (for stimulating my scalp while cowashing)
L'Oreal Color Gems demi-permanent color
Roux Porosity Control Conditioner
Hair accessories
small plastic bottle (to put some EVOO in)

The only thing I've bought and will continue to purchase from Sally's is Ion's Hardwater Shampoo and Silk Elements Mega Silk Heat Protectant.

lol me too! I left there with a shower comb and an empty spray bottle and some clips!!! and kind of disappointed. oh i also bought 2 dollar sample packets of silk elements mega silk whatever treatment (it was ok, i dont think ill buy it) I guess they are good for accessories. They do have aphogee stuff but I already have that stuff...
I expected them to have way more salon brands but they hardly have any...
I may try the gvp stuff at some point, they also have knockoffs of chi, redken and joico i think along with paul mitchell

Not all Sally's are created equally! At the Sally's I would go to back home in KY they had so much stuff, but one I went to in Rhode Island didn't even have Lye relaxers.

I usually get
lye relaxer and conditioner
GVP Chi silk infusion
combs
WGO

:lachen:The first time I went in Ulta, the angels started singing and I thought I would DIE from sensory overload! I spent a good 2 hours reading labels and drooling over products! :lovedrool:

-Ion (when i see something i like)
-Aphogee
-roller pins
-nail polishes
-eyeliners
-ORS replenishing packet
-ORS hair moisturizer
-spray bottles
-denman like brushes
-my Jilbere shower comb

and i've been in there everyday looking at the Proclaim Olive Oil line. I want to try it all! and i will when i get paid Friday too lol. I'll be racking up on some OPI and Fingerpaints, and might try an at home Brazilian wax kit. Ummm.... what else did i want? Oh, i wanna try some of those cute press on nails (lol) cuz i can't wear my nails painted at work, but i still want cute hands. er, oooh ooh! i'm gonna try some single eyelash extensions again, and i wanna get some at home pedi stuff.

:look: its so hard for me to stay out of that store because its right next to my job. once i'm on break, i'm in there. if i get to work early, i'm in there. when i get off, i'm in there.
