i've tried them. used to like them. now i hate them. i would not buy them again. i would not use them if given for free. i would not suggest to others. the tui oil smells good though.

I like her body creams. They smell good and leave my skin soft. Her hair stuff was pretty much a fail for me. It seems that CD has become like the national covergirl (I can't think of a better word, lol) for going natural. I swear every time someone talks to me about going natural they always say "yea i'm just going to use cd products.". Or the other day my friend that's relaxed was telling this other girl to go natural and just use cd products. I shut that down real quick. Ugh there are sooo many other products out there that are waaaay better and decently priced.

I got the Tui hair care gift pack from my mom for Christmas when I first started my journey. The Tui deep conditioner was a fail. The Tui shampoo was a fail...so i used it as body wash. All I liked was the Tui hair oil. But it's so expensive to use as a sealer, I use it as "hair perfume" like some other members stated.

I also got the hair milk from my mom when she went natural. When i noticed the bees wax in it i threw it away.

I used healthy hair butter for twists and finger coils when I was napptural and I liked the balm for shine and on the ends, but I usually would use the products on wet or misted hair.

The Healthy Hair Butter is a staple for me whenever I have itchy scalp after getting my hair braided. The essential oil blend is really soothing to my scalp...I love it for that purpose.

Gelee de Soleil (bronzing oil) is one of my staple moisturizers, it smells AMAZING, and I love the texture.

The Essential Serum for Oily Skin is one of the best products I've ever used for my face.

I love the Shea Souffle in Jamaican Punch, and Sandalwood Vanilla--I usually keep big tubs of both of these creams on hand. I also like the bar soaps, and the Groove bath salts.

Most of the hair products suck. Those deep conditioners are horrible, and that Tui oil is a heavy, greasy mess. Don't even get me started on those awful shampoos. :nono:

Early in my hair journey i used her products the leave in conditoners did nothing for my hair but run through it, i was in love with Margurites hair magic but it was no use to buy that one item and pay for the shipping, so i had to move on.

The healthy hair butter worked okay on my 4 a/b coils, but I left the last portion at my mom's house, and didn't care enough to order more. The tui smoothie did nothing for me at all.

Rosemary Mint Herbal Shampoo with Sea Moss--THE WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! It made my hair tangle like crazy. It felt like my hair was going through a metamorphosis of textures.

Healthy Hair Butter--the moisturizing properties are "okay" at best

Lisa's Hair Elixir--not bad, actually. It gives the hair, particularly second-day hair, a nice sheen. It is on the heavy side, though, and not very wet-hair friendly.

Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner--I actually loved this stuff b/c it moisturized my hair. She changed the ingredients, though, and took too long to get the new formula in Macy's. I tried the Jane Carter Solution Revitalizing Leave-In & haven't looked back since.

Tui Smoothie-coated my hair; no moisture whatsoever.

When I first went natural in 1999, I used use her ORIGINAL hair butter, hair milk and Tui oil, and body balms from her store, this is before she changed the packaging and ingredients and came to Sephora. I loved it, it mde my hair nice and soft.

I revisited her products last year and I will never repurchase. The hair milk felt so oily and the butter made my hair stiff.

The one thing that I LOVE is the Almond Cookie Body Butter, that's the only product of hers that I use.

My 3 favorite CD products are: Hair Milk, Healthy Hair Butter and the Mimosa Hair Honey. These work great on my natural hair. When I was relaxed, I didn't care for them.

I've used the Healthy Hair Butter, Some of Marguerite's Magic, Lisa's Hair Elixir, Hair Milk, the Mimosa Hair Honey, the Tui and Khoret Amen oils, Black Vanilla Leave-in, Rosemary Moss Shampoo, and Khoret Amen Hair Smoothie. Only items worth repurchasing for me would be Some of Marguerite's Magic, Hair Elixir, and Hair Honey, and I'm not going to repurchase any. I can make the hair elixir, I like the hair honey for slicking down edges, but like Oyin's BSP better, and my hair felt moisturized with Marguerite's Magic, but I like Qhemet's products infinitely better. Overall, I don't think that there's any one product in her line that you can't find better quality for elsewhere, and often at a significantly better per ounce price.

I can't comment on her body and face line, but that's my opinion of the hair line. Oh, and the Rosemary Moss Shampoo was perhaps the WORST product I've ever used on my hair--it has never felt as miserable as it did the 2-3 times I used that product before chucking it.

I first purchased the hair mimosa in February/March of this year to help with my rollersets... It worked great (i guess) but I used a bit too much and my hair was greasy. But I moved on and found better products anyway. Now I have a jar of it sitting under my cabinet. I use it every so often to smooth on my edges. I just used some this morning to do a twistout, but I honestly hate it; it's definitely weighing my hair down and I feel as if I would have had better results if I stuck with my fantasia ic gel, leave-in, and oils...

For the longest time I wouldnt purchase any of her products. I feel like if her products make your hair so healthy, then why are your two spokesmodels wearing weaves in her advertisements?? It was questionable. Jada and Mary J always wear weaves...so anyway, for years I wasn't interested. I was in NO for The Essence Fest and I met the owner and my family swears by it (but they all wear relaxers and don't understand that what works on them, probably wont work on me)..So I gave in and purchased the hair milk. I haven't tried it yet. Also, my aunt let me try some of her Tui Oil, while it smells awesome, it didn't really work well on my hair. I did go to a salon and they used her Black Vanilla leave in on me, and it smelled great also, but not sure if it did anything. If anything, it made my hair smell good lol.

Exactly! Some of my friends love it but I just can't see myself spending so much $ on products with corn oil in them. When I first went natural I got a sample of the healthy hair butter but wasn't big on the smell for my hair so ended up using it on my feet- it worked great there.

I've used the hair milk and the healthy hair butter. While the healthy hair butter was okay, I returned the hair milk immediately. It just sat on top of my hair and that's it. The healthy hair butter was okay, but after a little while I realized it wasn't working as well as I had hoped. Plus, I didn't like the smell all that much.

I agree that you can go to hairveda and Qhemet and get much better products. I've been happy with everything I've purchased from these two companies.

None of her products work for me or my boyfriend's hair. Ex: Her hair milk weighs my hair down and dries his out. I'm curly; he has locs. Same for hair butter.

I use the healthy hair butter to define my curls with my wash and go. With that product, there's no need for gels and it's light enough to not look greasy and slick.

I'm going to stop by Sephora on my lunch break to sample the bronzing oil. I'm really funny about CD's scents. I like Healthy Hair Butter too, but I "tolerate" the smell.

The Tui Hair Oil smells DIVINE! And yes, it can be greasy if you spray it directly on your hair, but I don't do this. I spray a little on my hands, rub together then smooth or scrunch through the hair. I get excellent sheen and I can smell the Tui scent all day. It's not greasy this way. It's a staple product for me NOW. Cause like you I was about to write it off as a disaster until I figured out how to use it properly.

Is it doing anythiny beneficial for my hair? Probably not, but it's not hurting it either.

Oh, you're talking about the Tui Braid Sheen spray. That used to be a great product, it had much better ingredients than the regular Tui oil. Now they've added cyclomethicone to the spray, so I refuse to use it.

i love the lisa hair elixer. its not a staple because of the price but i love it. i use it as an overnight oil treatment and on my scalp.

when i was relaxed my staple moisturizer was the healthy hair butter. before i found this board i swore by this butter because it made my hair sooooo soft and healthy looking. then she changed the formula so for 2 years i never repurchased. then my beloved keracare moisturizer stopped working so i bought a small jar of the HHB and fell in love all over again.

I work with the hair milk for a light moisturizer. I also work with the hair elixir oil. Its good the oil. There are better stuff elsewhere, but when I was in my pj mood I bought a few so figured might as well use them now and then. They are good not great. Can't afford to waste. If they were jacking up my hair they be out the window. I have the other stuff, but I don't really use them. Some are my mom's when she was on the bandwagon when I get all hyped about things. Anyhoo I use to love the detangling version of the rosemary shampoo. At first it didn't work well for me, but I changed my washing technique around that time ( I was trying different techniques out for a regimen that fit) it worked good. I don't like this new non-detangling version, but my hair doesn't have an open revulsion to it either. I only don't like it because I don't get that added detangling help. I prefer to use detangling shampoos. Even without I still don't really get tangles to talk about. But it always helps. All in all I wouldn't call it a miracle product. But its serviceable. LOL !

I have the black vanilla and tui leave in sprays- they are okay-smell great. The kizzi pomade is really good. I use it after applying the leave in spray to seal my ends. My ends are soft, shiny, smell good and are moisturized.

No, it's just the regular Tui Hair Oil and these are the ingredients:

Zea Mays (Corn) Oil, Fragrance, Calendula officinalis Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract. May Contain: Dried Angel Wings (Assorted Colors).

No mention of cyclomethicone. Probably another product of theirs.

It comes in this bottle:

The only difference is mine has a spray top. I like it, but sometimes it doesn't "mix" well with other products in my hair and I get a "dull" finish. Weird product, but I'll keep it around.

Allandra your staples were my staples for a long time too. I stopped using the Hair Milk when she formulated it for the mass market. The scent nauseates me now and makes my hair hard.

Mimosa Hair Honey I don't use anymore, but if I ever do again I'll buy the small jar. If you don't use it within a certain time span it will stink to high heaven. I heard she rectified this problem by using different preservatives.

Healthy Hair Butter will ALWAYS be a part of the regimen, but I prefer MJ Curly Buttercreme MORE. Better moisturization and soft hair.

The Tui Hair Oil is one of those products that can be iffy, but I like the smell of it.

Okay, I rubbed a small amount of this on my arms to see how it looked and to smell it better.

I'm sorry, but this stuff smells awful and is just plain GREASY. Not just oily, but GREEEZZZY! :nono:

I couldn't wait to get to the ladies room to get soap my arms down to remove this stuff.

I'm not diggin' her body or too many of the hair products. I hear the same on other boards and I'm hoping she continues to stay in business down the road, but she does have some stiff competition out there now.

I am not impressed. I just bought the 4oz size of the "Healthy Hair Butter" from Macy's this weekend. I am glad the sales associate mentioned I could bring it back. I did not find it really moisturizing. Like someone mentioned, it could work for flyaways. But, I already have the pomade (I can't think of the exact name, but comes in a tin). And really, I don't use the pomade very often.

Two years ago I purchased the "Hair Milk". But that was my fault. It is for curly hair. I only bought it because it was liquidy. I thought maybe it would be light and good for my fine hair. I still have over half of the bottle. Most of it was used by my hubby when he ran out of his pink oil.

I am done. I will be returning the butter.

Oh, I believe some mentioned up thread that her products contain petroleum. They don't. They are petroleum and mineral oil free.

I only tried one hair product and lip gloss, neither one was worth it. They were trashed before empty.:nono:

Tried and figured out they do NOTHING for my hair. The hair milk moisturizes my dd hair but everything I've tried I wouldn't purchase again, including the soaps.
