I chose others:

I used
shampoo- Aphogee deep cond shampoo
conditioner- Aussie 3 min deep con
aphogee 2 minutes
leave in- redken butter treat
seal- olive oil and coconut oil

I love Aphogee..... for everything except deep conditioning. I stick to my Dominican conditioners for that.

I have VERY coarse 4b hair and Joico changed my hair around completely!

I just tried Mizani Intensive Night Time treatment last night and my hair is still wrapped up in a scarf. So the jury is still out on that one.

Joico huh? Which line? K-Pak, moisture recovery, etc? What specifically did it change?

I use products from ORS and NTM. I haven't tried anything else from the other product lines.

ORS relaxer
ORS replenishing pak
NTM silk touch leave in cream
NTM poo and cond

I use both! I used the entire K-Pak line initially. Now I use K-Pak on Mondays and Moisture Recovery the rest of the week.

I just recently bought Silk Results (I believe that is what it is called). The jury is still out on this one.

You can see the difference. In the first picture of my siggy I did not use Joico, just henna for thickness. The second picture, I had just used Joico for 1 month I believe. The last picture, I took yesterday and I had just relaxed my hair 3 hours earlier. I have NEVER had thick hair after a relaxer.

The key pieces are: Chelating shampoo and Cuticle sealer (these two are important after a relaxer). I also like the split end mender. Ok, I like everything Joico (and Phyto)!

I love Aubrey Organics conditioners, Hairone for co-washing, Qhemet Bilogics, and Komaza care. They are all I use and my hair has made major improvements, I;m very happy.

my hair is 3C with mostly 4a

My vote goes to Ojon. Though I cleanse my hair with WEN, I use ojon products daily and they have helped tremendously with my hair.

Ummm, I've changed my mind:look::look:. While ojon has great products, I feel that Joico (K pak line) works best for my relaxed 4b hair. I've also shelved my Wen for hair one (olive oil).

I believe in threads like this, one should state whether they relax with lye or no lye! Cause man oh man, my 4B design essentials sensitive scalp(no lye) relaxed hair does not like protein...Keracare, Aphogee, and Mizani made my hair feel dry and break like crazy...
Currently using Elucence shampoo and conditioner; it's OK/good when deep conditioned with porosity control, but i want more! Thinking about getting with some of these Dominican products like Silicone Mix, but IDK... Lacio Lacio and Salerm also confirmed what I already suspected about protein...

I've never used a whole product line but I'm relaxed type 4 with Mizani regular lye.

My hair has liked everything that I've tried so far which includes Pantene, Mizani, Aphogee, Organics, Herbal Essences and Redken.

I don't like NTM or ORS.

I have more Pantene products than anything else.

i really, really liked Joico's line of products on my relaxed hair. their shampoos cleanse well & are very gentle, the conditioners are moisturizing & have a ton of slip, & their deep conditioning treatments are wonderful.

Aveda's Smooth Infusion line is kind to my hair as well, both the relaxed ends, & the super coily new growth.

So if i could start my hair journey all over again, i'd invest my $ in these 2 lines exclusively. Joico & Aveda.

Although I'm currently in a weave, I committed myself to using Keracare only, when my hair is out, for 6 mos. My 6 mos will be up in April...so far so good. I just re'upped my stash when JCPenney had their buy one get one free a couple of weeks ago. The only other items I use w/my new reggie are Aphogee 2 min(almost every wash, weekly), and my leave in, Jane Carter Leave In. I was also using Lenzi's Request for my scalp, but just bought Amla and Olive Pomade from Qhemet...other than that Keracare has been working well for me. I don't really care for their relaxer, Affirm, I do prefer Mizani Rhelaxers instead.

]keracare humecto is my favorite deep conditioner. my hair is softest and easiest to comb when i use it. i can tell the difference when i don't.[/B] the shampoo is really good, too, but keracare is expensive to me so i use CON.

Co- signing. This conditioner has almost single- handedly transformed my hair. I have used it religiously since Sept. 09 and can tell a huge difference. I will never stray from this deep conditioner as long as I'm relaxed. It is pricey, but I stock up when JC Penney salon has a B1G1 half off or something

I use a lot of different lines, but I love Kenra and Paul Mitchell!! I love Paul to death. If I say anything Paul Mitchell the conditioner has really helped my hair.

^^ Chelate means to cleanse the hair of both product buildup and mineral build up like calcium deposits from hard water or calcium hydroxide from a no-lye relaxer....

Why, oh why, did I not try Hair One when you mentioned this months ago :wallbash:

I tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago (I bought it by mistake) and my hair is in love :love2:

This stuff makes my coarse, thick hair feel like silk!
