I use LustraSilk ALONE as a LEAVE-IN conditioner with coconut oil on my scalp for twist out. I have moisturized soft, well defined hair for the entire week. I LOVE the LustraSilk SHEA BUTTER & Mango. I WILL fight the inner pjism and urge to try the Silk Elements. Lol

Oh! We Were talking about DC'ing? Sorry, I've never used it as a DC, only a Leave-In. Still love the stuff! :)

I have the LS. Yet to really test it out. I tried something from SE (can't remember what) and I didn't like it.

Silk Elements hands down! No other cholesterol treatments work better on tangles for me.

Y'all make me want to try the silk elements, but the second ingredient after water is mineral oil.

:nono: That one is not for me.

I love the lustrasilk though

I picked up the LS with mango at the BSS i could not find the one without. Those who use the LS with mango is it the same as the one without? and are you finding that it has slip when detangling?

I'm going to try this today. Especially since you got a week out of your twistouts!

For those of you who like lustrasilk...are you still using the old formula or the new one???

I tried the Shea Butter in my twist out (along with my leave-in, cocunut oil and jane carter setting lotion...i know :yep: sounds like a lot of products) and it came out softer for sure but it didn't last for a week:ohwell:. Well I should'nt say that, I wasn't able to wear it down the entire week but after the 2nd or 3rd day I wore it out in the front and pinned up in the back (4th day) and today I have it pulled up in a high (curly puff) ponytail which looks great today  if I must say so myself. I got lots of compliments. For the puff, i added some IC clear gel to brush it up. I LOVE that stuff. I gives hold, shine and smoothness without it being slicked down! I know a bit of topic but wanted to share. Thanks again for the mentioning using it with twists.
