moisture:
neutrogena dc mask
alterna hydrating - can be used as a dc

I think that's it for moisture

repair/protein dc's:
hayashi 911 reconstructor
alterna repair
giovianni magnetic power
sebastian penetraitt protein reconstructor
mizani gelee

guess I see where my focus is repair, reconstructor, protein addict.

Umm well - I have been wondering which is best for a deep conditioner. I need specific instructions that tell me to use heat for 30 mins or longer. I was going to go in search of but now I know I have at least 10 in my PJ stash already. I used to mix everything together so I don't know what works and what does not. I can think of:
- AO (4 brands) these are my favs but I use them with pre-poos on dry hair
- Giovanni (smooth as silk)
- ORS packet (I like this one too but have never used it alone)
- Phyto Mask Intense Hydration (I think) one of my favs but too expensive
- YTC Mask (thick that's why I like it)
- something with ash or soot Millenium???
- Organix Coconut
- Banana Brulee stuff
- there's more I just can't remember (I henna but never thot of it as a DC)

I'm going to a BSS and Sally's - what should I get? I was thinking of Motions CPR. I'm natural, mostly 4A. HELP!

Wow, that's a crazy amount, OP. I only have two, Aussie 3 minute miracle and ORS Replenishing Conditioner. I buy too much stuff so I'm gonna stick with that at the moment. :yep:
What you have is perfect. One DC is uber moisturizing and the other is a nice combo of both protein and moisture. I have way too many, 5 are staples, but I would feel guilty to not use up the others

I can so relate:yep:- except my focus is moisture, moisture, moisture.

hmmm.. nevr thought about. Let's see:

alter ego garlic
nexxus humectress
organix coconut milk
nioxin scalp therapy
ors paks
ors mayo
aphogee 2 min keratin... that makes 7!

selfstyled, what are your staples out of the ones you own?

Moisture
Aubreys Honeysuckle Rose
YTC Mud Mask
Silk Elements Moisturizing Treatments
Aussie 3 min Miracle
Lustrasilk Organic Cholesterol w/ Argan Oil

Light Protein
Coloresse Rescue Treatment Masque

Part of the problem is defintely a bad case of pj'ism, but the other part is I had to try so many things to find out what could help my hair because it was so dry. I have to say that my staples have turned my hair around. Once I use up the rest of the DC's- I will be sticking to my staples only.
Since I banned mineral oil from my regimen, I don't even use the Dominican DC's at all.

LadyPBC- I am a mixer too:yep:. At Sally's I would recommend the Silk Elements Moisturizing Treatment. But it all depends what you are looking for. Are you looking for a moisturizing DC or a protein DC?

I have more than ten, less than fifteen. However, I don't use them all, at least one is sample size, and to be frank some of them are almost gone. No worries, I'm going to buy at least two more this week. I love deep conditioning. :yep:

Actually not too many, I made a commitment to use up my one before buying another if I don't like it or want to test another brand.
Joico moisture recovery
Joico k pak
Nexxus humectress(almost gone)
Suave humectant(almost gone)
Nioxin scalp therapy

Commercial: AO HSR as an emergency conditioner (1 bottle)
Homemade: Just the raw ingredients. Avocados, eggs, honey, olive oil, filtered water
I decided to just throw out or donate a bunch of conditioners that I just do NOT need. Less is more for me from now on.

I won't make another long list like I did in another thread, but I have 6-10 deep conditioners, and about 15-20 regular conditioners (cheapies like V05, Garnier, Pantene). I love condish, but I often like to buy the poo as well, unless I'm convinced it won't do ish for my hair based on ingredients.

right now..3 .. It's usually 2 tho... NTM deep recovery mask and Aussie 3 min are my staples... I just bought some Leklair for the heck of it..

I keep it simple. Right now I have 3 and when I use em up and have about half of 1 left, I'll go buy 2 or 3 more.

8 ounces Afroveda Ashlii Amala
16 ounces Jessicurl WDT
20 ounces Hairveda Sitrinillah
48 ounces Oyin Honey Hemp

And THAT is how I ended up with a bazillion DC's...While I have finally found some staple DC's, my solution has been to become a mixologist. You would be suprised at how mixing 2 DC's together can suddenly make a nice slippy DC.

I didn't know the Avocado condish was a DC. I also have that one in my stash. That IS THE SLIPPIESST CONDITIONER I own. One of my absolute favorites.

It actually isn't but its in my stash, so I named it. I LOVE that conditioner, it is THE BEST DETANGLER for me! The banana brulee for me has the best slip.

I had to go protein crazy, last year was a stressful one, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroid which explained why my hair was acting crazy, falling out, ashy :lachen:, then starting medication. I went crazy with reconstructors, and it really snapped my hair back. I never believed that hair products worked but my hair is back and healthy freak you thyroid! :lachen::lachen:.

I should add moisturfuse too since you can dc with it, I love that stuff.

Also i've stopped with the pjism, tired of buying hair products.

I am so glad that your hair is doing better Longhairlover- hypo can be so hard on hair. I have it as well.

I have three, I like to keep things very simple and I can't afford to buy too many things. I do want to try yes to cucumbers.

AOGBP (need to use more often)
AO White Camelia (love! I also use it as a leave in)
Aussi 3 minute deep (before flat ironing)

I do like to make mixes from my kitchen, ( molasses, oils, avocados, ect). And I also have amla and brahmi powders that I've been trying to use.
