$100-$150. Dang. But I am going to stop.
I have all my staples in bulk right now....so after the Qhemet sale I am throwing in the towel.

You have done really good, establishing your regimen and building your products/staples.

I thought you would be about finish building for now.:yep: Good Job.

I have slowed down considerably, but everytime I see somthing new, I want to try it. I just ordered some KBB, and have a growing wish list on Amazon, but this is crazy. I've always loved the BSS, but I can't stay out of it. I average around $50- $60 a month on hair care products, just curious, hope I'm not alone:spinning:.
I've slowed down significantly, too. Sadly, i have enough products til i reach my ultimate hair goal and probably someone elses.:look: But now i'm living on my own and i have other priorities so i have to be disciplined. Every time i hear a rave i am greatly tempted though.:lachen:

I put $25-$50, but when I think about it, it's really $1-$25 :wallbash: dangit. I'm pretty good with not being a PJ (poor college student here), and I am a bargain hunter till the end (just found some good hair henna WITH amla and shikakai for $3.00 a pack :spinning: at an indian grocery). I try not to spend too much on products.

at my peak i was spending about 100 a month.

I havent spent much lately though. Ive already bought out the market, hell.

I don't know if I spend $50 every month, but when I do make it to the BSS I drop $75-100 easy (every few months).

I don't spend much anymore. I guess it would average to about 5-15 dollars a month now. I did one of those no buy challenges so I know I can manage with what I have.

My products aren't that high and they last a long time

Conditioner Humecto in the Tub (lasts 6-8 months) $30
Shampoo KeraCare Detangling Shampoo $20
GVP The Conditioner Leave in (Paul Mitchell The Condtioner) $6
GVP Smoothing Balm (Paul Mitchelle Skinny Serum) $6
ORS Olive Oil in the Jar $7
ORS Hair Mayo $7
TOTAL: $78 (which lasts 6 months)

$13 a month!!! Now if I could only just stick to this list and not buy others to "test" out.....

I don't spend a set amount. I have been working through my stash this year. Since transitioning, I'm mainly buying things I need to replenish and help with detangling.

I selected $50 and beyond, but I have long since recovered from trying new thing and reject the product junkie title. I use phyto/phytospecific products, silk peptide powder, Graham Webb silk repair after relaxing sometimes (I couldn't find this in my local bss last time, so I tried Joico KPak which is good stuff), Roux Porosity Control, and camellia oil. My one new product is AOHSR which I use when I set my hair on date nights with Dh because he loves the smell of it. I buy the same products in large sizes, so I'm only making a purchase every three or four months. I finally managed to use up or give away all of the many conditioners I've tried, so finally my shower shelf is not overflowing.

zero!

I'm on a personal use it up challenge. Trust me, it wasn't hard to do. I may purchase something occassionally if it is on a good sale but besides that I'm using it up!

Im on this right now unless there is a major sale. I don't know how much i spend in a month, but one day i went crazy and i know i spent enough to pay my rent:look:. Those days are behind me now:grin:.

I've only been doing this for a couple of months now so I'm trying tons of new things. I'm ashamed to say $300+ a month. I often buy bulk though.

I put $50+ but it's more like $100 ... in my defense, I'm still new to this thing! :look: Even though I was a PJ before I joined!

Considering how much I used to spend at the salon, I am not ashamed of my monthly spending off $100+.

And my results are considerably better.:spinning:

Who sent you to find out?

I know it's a little behind the scenes, but since joining recently, I have spent so much to find out that it doesn't take much for good haircare. I was curious and find it interesting that we spend a lot in the beginning of our journey and then go for whatever works and settle on a good regime. It's also interesting to me that even in a "bad" economy the BSS's are never empty, I guess I'm more intrigued by how much we spend on Beauty supply products and how the BSS are so prevalent in urban neighborhoods. Curiosity killed the cat!

Oooh. girl...
I ..was ...jo..king....

*ooh, that failed*

*walking away*

i made a pledge to myself--do not buy another hair product until i finish what i have in my stash---and so far so good--so my monthly spending at most maybe $5 for hair oils--becuz i already have everything else--huge savings for me

Okay it's the beginning of the month I have already spent too much, between KBB, ayurveda, and the BSS I can't stop. But it's so much fun:grin:
I'm at about $90. That's it though unless I see some Hairveda:spank:Bad Product junkie!
Mona: I know girl I ain't mad, too much hair love up in here!
Happy 4th everyone!

I spend less than 25 a month myself buying products. My oils and deep conditoners.Buttt :ohwell: I do go to the salon bi weekly faithfully and she cost 55 every visit. So I think on my hair care needs I spend over a 100 a month.:wallbash:

I wouldn't say I'm disciplined but I do have my staples down and I know what my hair likes and dislikes so I only buy things new after I've done research. And I budget accordingly when there is something new or more expensive than my usual stuff that I want. I also buy my staples in bulk so I don't spend a lot week to week.

This thread is right on time cuz I just finished blogging about this. I'm happy to say that I spend no more than $15 every few months on hair products. That's because I finally understand why my hair likes and doesn't like. When I first went natural, I was spending around $50 each month easily. Not anymore!

I will say that I'm glad this thread isn't about makeup!
