I need an anti-humectant that won't rob my hair of all the moisture I labor so hard to put in. My braidouts only last a few hours due to frizz. I feel like there's a sponge atop my head. I seal my cuticles, and yet if there is the slightest bit of humidity, I attract it... and its been wet ALOT this spring in Chicagoland. Worse yet, ther may be n interviw in my near future, so I need to look good.

As always, inexpensive is also nice. :spinning:

I can't think of anything that is an anti-humectant. The most important thing to do for your hair if you want to make sure the humidity won't mess it up is to moisturize beforehand. When your hair is well moisturized, there's no reason for it to draw moisture from the air.

I would:
1. Make sure to DC and moisturize well. Really well.
2. Don't use any leave in products with glycerine or other humectants.
3. Seal with a silicone based product. That way there's a barrier to the moisture from the air.
4. Make sure your hair is COMPLETELY dry before you take it out.

Thanks. I looked through my stuff and I noticed a lot of glycol (the brx braid sheen that I love!). I'll have to start weeding that all out. I've been trying to avoid cones, but I'll give it a shot on my next style. I haven't thrown everything away yet. Thank you!

Sabino Moisture Block seems to be the only thing that really helps prevent moisture from wrecking a style based on the reviews I have read from type 3 and 4 ladies. I think that the only thing that can work is something with cones.
