How late have you stayed up doing your hair?

3-4am. Especially if I'm doing small twists, it can be a 5-6 hour project from beginning to end. I actually burned myself from falling asleep and hitting my head against the front of the hard dryer. I was so tired I didn't wake up until it was too late! Now I'm prone to sit under the dryer just to get the majority dry, and the rest can dry overnight.

Around 2 in the morning :perplexed I was determined to finish my rollerset!

This has happen to me too! So I know how you feel....

Ugh...back when I used to relax my hair, I'd spend a ridiculous amount of time DC'ing, then I'd wrap it, put a silk scarf on it and blowdry on top of the scarf since I don't have one of those full head things (lol don't know what it's called). Then I'd take down the wrap and grease my scalp (didn't know any better!), then I'd flat iron it...wrap it back up again... took hours :( Probably why my arms are so diesel now :lachen:

LOL...SweetSpirit I got wore out just reading this....:lachen: But I know what you mean :yep:

Till 3am doing my weekly twist. My husband was just clowning me on this too. Sunday is my hair day so he knows what's up. :drunk:

I'm lazy. I start doing my hair at the last minute. I'll start at like 10:30 and end at like 1am

I can't be looking ugly going to summer school!!

The latest was 1:30am. I looked at the clock and was like, oh hell no. So now if I am tired and think it will get to late. I put it in a bun.

I've stayed up late taking out braids or a sew-in... until around 3am! (and silently cursed every minute of it past midnight!!)

The latest has to be like 5:30a,. I was taking a weave out and had 2 DC, DEtangle.. etc. BUT the cute thing was my husband stayed up till 3:30a helping take it down I finished the rest!

Awww...that was so nice of him to help you! :yep:

Back when I was relaxed about 12:30 at the latest. I luvs my sleep. But now that I'm natural, doing my hair is a breeze. Wednesday, I made it home at 10 to 5 and was back out the door to church at 6:30 with a freshly co-washed and fully dried twist out. :yep:

I'm lovin' it!

I have to cosign on the 3:30am thing. I just did it last week when I did my flexirods. I was nodding off under that hard bonnet dryer and sweatin' like a hebrew slave! I finally climbed into bed w/the flexrods still intact around 3:30am and had to wake up @ 5am to go to work...:nono:

I've also done the DIY micro braid removal which is an all night job for me... starting around 7-8pm and I'll be up until about 6 or 7 the next morning:rolleyes: (realizing why I don't do micro mini's anymore...)

Okay... as you can see, I'm posting again.. I just stayed up til 3:30 am AGAIN last night/this morning... and had to wake up @ 5am.:nono: PLUS my rollerset didn't even turn OUT the way I wanted it too!:wallbash:

What's really sad is that this is the second time in the past WEEK y'all, that I've done this, and you KNOW you have a bad addiction if you pick HAIR over SLEEP!!!! :realitycheck:
Somebody help me! Start an intervention!!!:help2::jail:

LOL!! We have all been there at one time or another...choosing hair over sleep :) I know it will happen again for me as well....

I've stayed up til after 6 am doing my hair.

The one time I had micros I was up til 3 am taking them out and had school the next morning. I convinced my mom to let me stay home cuz I was looking a mess. I didn't know anything about taking out braids then..

I am up now, maybe not the latest; but it is almost 12:30am here and I am under the dryer. I needed to do this wash, my LHCF sisters would have dogged me out, I haven't been well lately. Going to work, doctor, home, studying, I am lucky I still have hair, 3 weeks no wash.:ohwell:

Yeah...I'm guilty too. Usually, the only time I am up really late is taking down braids/twists. That can take until early morning hours -like 4-5am.

However, I have found a few times that doing my hair really late at night is comforting for some odd reason, and I will start after DH has gone to sleep and stay up all night. I've only done that 2-3 times, but I did enjoy myself immensely, tried out a few techniques, and slept really well after the family had left home for work and school.

By 4pm the following day, my hair was nice. lol

I kind of look forward to another late hair night in the next few weeks. :lick:
