I havent tasted the egg shake.
I love Chlorella and drink it every night. All I know is since i started I dont have skin problems anymore.
bumping for more responses! I dont have extra money for Chlorella right now but i think i might throw an egg into my daily whey protein to see what its like.....
What is the recipe for the egg shake? And what brand of Chlorella do you ladies use?
Here is the original recipe:
Hair Cocktail Ingredients:
3/4 glass of whole milk (I used SilkSoy Vanilla)
1 raw egg
1 tblspn raw wheat germ oil
2 tblspns raw wheat germ
for flavor, you may add a piece of fruit in season
This is the thread that goes in great detail about it. This thread has various recipes. The original thread has it as well, but this is nowhere as long as the original.
I bought Whole Foods brand Chlorella.
So many of their benefits overlap. From reading the Chlorella testimonials, it seems to help with other ailments such as arthritis, sinus, allergies, etc...a wonder food, to say the least. And ofcourse, all things pertaining to hair, skin and nails.
The Waistlength Cocktail helps with hair, skin, nails, energy, perkier boobs, perkier buns, mental clarity/alertness, appetite suppressant, weight reducer, libido enhancer *sniggle*, pms minimizer, longer lashes, whiter eyes, - brighter smile - no, i'm joking (well, you do smile brighter because you just feel better!)...Egglettes, wanna add anything? I can testify to this because I have personally experienced all of the above. I have a new head of hair in 8 months and it's due to the Waistlength Cocktail. It's a God-send, literally.
The two really seem to mimic each other. I have recently started on Chlorella again, after a two year hiatus. I'm still holding out because I'm new to it all and it's only fair to give it time to work. I really decided to jump in after the weight loss posts. I'm a sucka for quick weight loss and quick hair growth. LuckiestD has done an awesome job of facilitating that thread and she may chime in.
Well, that's my two cents.
My skin was doing really well with the egg shake alone (I've been drinking it since Dec). But now since I've added chlorella to the shake, my skin is breaking out.
Maybe I'll drink the CHL at night as some of you say you're doing and not add it to my shake.
But I know that the shake is making my hair softer, smoother and more moisturized.
^Platinum, try the cocktail for a month and see how it goes...I bet you get what you're looking for.
Thanks!I'm trying to gain 10-15lbs. I try a whey protein shake, it tastes great but it didn't agree with me.
(It made me bloated and super constipated, TMI
, sorry!)
I Totally agree with your post Bronze.
I'm on my third month of Chlorella and second month of the egg shake, i really feel they compliment each other.
I have never had so much energy,My skin is glowing, It's clearer,
My nails are almost unbreakable,My eyes and teeth are brighter/whiter. My hair has gone so extra thick(at the roots)
I have lost a dress size and feel so much more healthier.
I am also doing other things that can contribute to my well being, but Chlorella and My daily egg shake were the missing links to my regime.
I thank BronzeBombshell and LuckiestDestiny immensely![]()
Chlorella powder does have a taste/smell/texture to it. I would try it with juice first and then add it to my shake once you're accustomed to it. I would start with pills (i did) before moving to the powder. The powder is $55 for a 2 lb container. That's a big commitment for something you're unsure of. I have been adding chl to my juice for the last week. I Drink it fast and gulp it down.
Thanks will get to the store tomorrow to tyr the pills, appears everyone is taking 6? per day?
Don't start at 6 gm. that's around the maintanence dose. Start lower. Read post 1 and 2 in the chlorella guide as I posted a quick start there that will give you all the info you need. You want to increase as your body allows and start low, until you get to your required amount. Post #1 and #2 will tell you all about it in the chlorella thread. HTH
