Hey ladies

The egg cocktail and Chlorella are obviously MASSIVELY popular with you alot of you ladies.

So, to those who have tried both whilst one gave you better benefits and what benefits did you notice?

Thanks Ladies

I'm drinking the egg cocktail daily. It's been five days and my energy is high. Love it! I have an unopened bottle of Chlorella on my desk right now, so I'd be interested in hearing from people who take both.

I have recently started to use both. I drink the egg shake in the morning for energy and take the Chlorella at night to help me sleep. So far so good!

So many of their benefits overlap. From reading the Chlorella testimonials, it seems to help with other ailments such as arthritis, sinus, allergies, etc...a wonder food, to say the least. And ofcourse, all things pertaining to hair, skin and nails.

The Waistlength Cocktail helps with hair, skin, nails, energy, perkier boobs, perkier buns, mental clarity/alertness, appetite suppressant, weight reducer, libido enhancer *sniggle*, pms minimizer, longer lashes, whiter eyes, - brighter smile - no, i'm joking (well, you do smile brighter because you just feel better!)...Egglettes, wanna add anything? I can testify to this because I have personally experienced all of the above. I have a new head of hair in 8 months and it's due to the Waistlength Cocktail. It's a God-send, literally.

The two really seem to mimic each other. I have recently started on Chlorella again, after a two year hiatus. I'm still holding out because I'm new to it all and it's only fair to give it time to work. I really decided to jump in after the weight loss posts. I'm a sucka for quick weight loss and quick hair growth. LuckiestD has done an awesome job of facilitating that thread and she may chime in.

Well, that's my two cents.

I havent tasted the egg shake.

I love Chlorella and drink it every night. All I know is since i started I dont have skin problems anymore.

bumping for more responses! I dont have extra money for Chlorella right now but i think i might throw an egg into my daily whey protein to see what its like.....

I drink the egg shake every other day and take the chlorella daily. I drink the egg shake every other day for maintenance as I have been taking the shake for about three months now.

I take the CHL and I have a big new container of egg protein at home. I might start drinking my CHL at night and the egg protein in the morning based on the responses in this thread!

Great thread OP!

What is the recipe for the egg shake? And what brand of Chlorella do you ladies use?

Here is the original recipe:

Hair Cocktail Ingredients:
3/4 glass of whole milk (I used SilkSoy Vanilla)
1 raw egg
1 tblspn raw wheat germ oil
2 tblspns raw wheat germ
for flavor, you may add a piece of fruit in season

This is the thread that goes in great detail about it. This thread has various recipes. The original thread has it as well, but this is nowhere as long as the original.

I bought
Whole Foods brand Chlorella.

Thank you

My skin was doing really well with the egg shake alone (I've been drinking it since Dec). But now since I've added chlorella to the shake, my skin is breaking out.

Maybe I'll drink the CHL at night as some of you say you're doing and not add it to my shake.

But I know that the shake is making my hair softer, smoother and more moisturized.

I Totally agree with your post Bronze.
I'm on my third month of Chlorella and second month of the egg shake, i really feel they compliment each other.

I have never had so much energy,My skin is glowing, It's clearer,
My nails are almost unbreakable,My eyes and teeth are brighter/whiter. My hair has gone so extra thick(at the roots)
I have lost a dress size and feel so much more healthier.

I am also doing other things that can contribute to my well being, but Chlorella and My daily egg shake were the missing links to my regime.
I thank BronzeBombshell and LuckiestDestiny immensely :rosebud:

Hello Ladies...I definitely think that they can compliment each other. The ingredients in the egg thread are really beneficial to the body. Chlorella is also very beneficial. I think they could pack a punch. They both have their positives and negatives: chlorella detoxes which even though positive, can cause you to feel sick until you ride it out. Some people cannot take it because they may have an allergy to it, albeit a small number. In addition with the egg shake it seems that there is a possibility of weight gain, but that the recipe can be tailored so that is not so. I personally take most the ingredients in the shake via food, and eat cooked eggs every morning so I might be doing a "similar" version so to speak, though I am not doing the drink. However the eggs, and wheat germ I eat on a regular basis. I eat eggs in the morning, and sprinkle wheat germ on various items. It is definitely doing my hair good. I also sprinkle flax seed...which I believe some people are using. So I'd say both are good, but you have to be mindful and adjust according to your body! The benefits are just tremedous besides being carded for everything, despite being on the edge of thirty (and I'm talking lottery tickets) because my skin is so even, tight, and youthful; I also have longer thicker hair, stronger nails, whiter eyes, REALLY insanely long (in a good I don't need mascara kinda way) eyelashes, smooth almost poreless looking skin, silky texture to my skin, radiant glow to my skin, and I went from 162 to my current weight of 137 pds. Not too bad for foods (those were my results from chlorella, though I also eat the eggs and wheat germ). I don't call these growth aids because they are both foods. The Japanese chlorella's are just freeze dried and crushed into powder or pills w/ no added fillers etc, and the egg drink is the same, all the ingredients are just good for your body. Let's not forget that chlorella also contains all the vits, minerals, and amino acids the body needs (including calcium) in larger doses. So these foods are really GOOD for you, and are not man made vitamins, though wheat germ and wheat germ oil has been handled by man, and chlorella, they are still in their original state without any added chemicals, fillers, etc. So what we have here are EXCELLENT foods that cause the body to be in top nutrition so that it responds better. Both I give a thumbs up.

Some people have reported breaking out, when going through the detox stage!
Up your water intake, it will pass :)

I combine them both, however i mix with water instead of milk(cutting down on carbs). i feel fine, i have gone from a very short bob(11/08),to SL. People think my hair is a wig!

I want to try the egg shake, I'm hoping it will help me gain weight . I lost a few pounds since I started taking Chlorella. (I didn't want to lose any :nono:).

I noticed a flat stomach (perhaps from detox), clear and glowing skin, stronger nails (I've always had strong nails but Chlorella really made a difference), and a sense of well-being.:yep: I'm not sure about hair growth yet.

^Platinum, try the cocktail for a month and see how it goes...I bet you get what you're looking for.

Thanks! I'm trying to gain 10-15lbs. I try a whey protein shake, it tastes great but it didn't agree with me. :nono: (It made me bloated and super constipated, TMI:sad:, sorry!)

 *Smooches to you, too*

If you try the original recipe - add a scoop of whey, you will gain weight (as long as you don't skip meals) and you will become regular. Your hair growth/thickness will be off tha hook!

So I should add Chlorella powder to my egg shake ?? or take the pills?
Does it have taste?

Where do you get chlorella from? Is it a liquid or powder? I love my egg cocktail, but if clorella is going to help with skin problems and nails, I'm all over it!

Chlorella powder does have a taste/smell/texture to it. I would try it with juice first and then add it to my shake once you're accustomed to it. I would start with pills (i did) before moving to the powder. The powder is $55 for a 2 lb container. That's a big commitment for something you're unsure of. I have been adding chl to my juice for the last week. I Drink it fast and gulp it down.

Don't start at 6 gm. that's around the maintanence dose. Start lower. Read post 1 and 2 in the chlorella guide as I posted a quick start there that will give you all the info you need. You want to increase as your body allows and start low, until you get to your required amount. Post #1 and #2 will tell you all about it in the chlorella thread. HTH

I take chlorella and I drink the shake and love them both. The shake is awesome for breakfast. It keeps me full until lunchtime. I usually have my chlorella at night in a green smoothie. I started them both around the same time so I can't necessarily separate the benefits. Just in my mind, the shake is for my hair, and I actually see chlorella as something for my overall body and health although I know the shake benefits the whole body also. I guess I see it this way since I was already going towards a raw and superfood diet. But I would recommend them both to anyone unless they're allergic. I have my mother on the shake and I tried to get my dad on chlorella although his stomach was too sensitive:nono: I did just win a cousin over to chlorella though:yep:

Anyway. I would say to give them both a try. Some days I'm too busy in the morning and I might miss my shake, but I still get my green smoothie with the chlorella in at night and vice versa.

As for benefits. I feel an overall increased sense of well being. My skin is prettier. My nails are longer and stronger. My hair is thicker. I know that it's growing but it's hard to measure length since I haven't straightened since January. I wouldn't be surprised if I keep this shake and chlorella in my life forever.
