What is slip?
How do I know if I have slip?
What do you use to get slip?
Should I have slip?

Ok so I just dont's know :lachen: Can you tell:lachen:

Hey girl. Slip is basically referring to the ease in which you can run a comb through your hair...or detangle your hair. For instance, after deep conditioning, if you can run your comb through your hair easier than slicing butter...you have major slip. HTH!

ETA: Not all products work the same on all heads, so finding the right products that give you that slip is all about trial and error, although there are some great products out there that never fail to provide great moisture and slip. I know that sometimes if you're using a great product that provides tons of moisture, but little slip, you can use a cheapie conditioner as a final cowash that'll give you the slip you're looking for. Leave in conditioners can also provide good slip.

Slip is when your hair becomes as smooth as silk (especially when wet)! I need it, want it, and can't detangle without it.

If a conditioner or even shampoo allows my hair to be detangled with a comb from ends to root and root to ends with little to no effort................that's SLIP!!!!!!

Products that provide that SLIP for me:

Oragnics Olive Oil DC
Silicon Mix :lick:
CON Shampoo (Green or Red Top) :lick:
NTM Mask

Thanks ladies
I am from LA love the Hey Girl, the girls from up north would laugh at that
by the time we left college we had them saying Hey Girl.

OK back on track.
I think I want me some slip
I used straight Mayo on my hair this past weekend and was amazed at how
soft my hair was after drying, now I have to work some slip in some how

if no dc has been giving me the slip I want should I add a type of oil to it?
I have heard that some women do that to give them slip
does it matter what type of oil?
I only have grapeseed

I know some ladies do add oil to their conditioners to get good slip, but I'm not familiar with that, so I don't want to steer you wrong. I usually try to get conditioners or products that already provide me with great slip. Sorry that was no help.

I had this same question. I read a few post about the slip from aussie deep and I thought I will try it. I did not like the way it felt. My hair felt like I put seewead in it. It felt gross and slimy. Is this slip?

oh no!
That definitely helps! thanks
I haven't added oil to any conditioner because I feel like the conditioner should give slip on its own!
