You see I want the end all and be all conditioner, I want it to deep condition, and I want slip...and I don't know of one conditioner that does both, but I've noticed that if I use the deep conditioner then the slip one, I don't have as much slip as I would if I just used the slip conditioner....so do any of you mix conditioners you like? Is there any danger???

I mix my protein and moisturizing sometimes just to save time. I don't think that it should hurt.

I do that all the time when I deep condition. I learned it from Carolyn Grey book she does that. I haven't had a problems with it.

Ditto! And I've had the best results doing it this way versus putting in one conditioner (ex: reconstructor, protein), rinsing, then putting in another type of conditioner (ex: moisturizing or deep).

I've never mixed protein and moisturizing conditioners, but other members have mentioned it. I have, however, mixed moisturizing conditioners and have had great results. On e time I mixed Pantene Smooth & Sleek and LUST and that turned out very nicely

bump. why start a new thread?..........anywho, yall listen. i just mixed mega tek and silicon mix and VO5 and infusium 23.... ihave to know what some of you think about this, is it really ok to mix like this??? im sitting with heating cap on as i type and will probably sleep with it on.

Umm, I'm not really sure but I don't think the megatek is for the length of your hair just the scalp. I remember reading on of the threads, where a member applied it to the length and had protein overload. But she only applied the megatek by itself. Let me see if I can find it....

i mix all the time, to me its like killing two birds with one stone because if I mix then i won't have to go buy more any quicker. :-)

Adora, I don't think its a good idea to sleep with the Megatek, it is high in protein and You may have a overload problem because of it, I'm not sure about the heat with Megatek either, maybe one of the others can chime in about that, but I think I may have read in older threads not to use heat, don't quote Me on that one, but it won't hurt to ask, just food for thought.

I have never mixed conditioners. I may give this a try. I am scared to mix protein and moisture together, so when I try I will only mix moisture w/ moisture and protein w/ protein.

Adora, try leaving the MegaTek on your scalp only. Otherwise you might get protein overload.

I mix Lustrasilk + coconut oil + avocado oil + 2 drops of ylang ylang oil + a bottle of Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose = hairgasms!!!!

It gives me great slip and makes my hair feel like silk. If I do a wash and go I'll use this and just light gel.

I have a mix of a bunch of so-so conditioners that I threw together just to get rid of stuff, and MAN...I get so much slip and softness from it. And the sad part is that I dont remember what got thrown in the mix. So yes, I say go for it, just don't forget what you used!

Well last week I added some aphogee 2 min to my silicon mix but I usually don't mix conditioners adding coconut oil and honey is usually enough to give me extra yummy slip. :lick:
Budget and time permitting though, I would look into finding a DC that can stand on its own too. :yep:
