Mine is exactly the same. I'm transitioning right now, but I was natural for awhile up until 5 years ago. My hair on the edges did not grow out like that the first time I transitioned. It all grew out wavy. I don't know why my edges are doing that this time around.

This is funny cuz I feel like my new growth is different each time i stretch. Maybe hair type isn't a constant thing with some people? This time there are way more really tight spiral curls at the ng which curl so tight they like almost twist up on each other...very interesting. Some aren't as tight curled and some waves near the front. And then very little curl def on edges...my hair is so odd

My NG is a mix of small waves but more of the tangly spiral curls.

It was hard at first, but it is getting easier, to stretch, detangle and control the spirals.

Mine is small waves but I am pleased to say my baby boy's hair is little spirals. I am scared to cut it low because I don't think it will look good. I never knew what this looked like until I saw his hair. I wonder if I can accentuate this.........

Big/little loopy s-waves. My ng never really had bad tangling problems, it was the relaxed hair sticking together that caused the most grief.

I'd like to know too. The back of my head looks exactly like this too when the ng really kicks in.
A couple of people have said my NG looks like 4a, I don't know though cos all I want right now is for my hair to grow so I can BC already! :yep:

My hair looks exactly like this. Is this considered 4a or 4b?
Yayyyy! Another person! I'm happy :-)
Few people have said 4a... I don't know and havent' really tried to find out, I just want to find my hair twins and try out what products they use and their regime.

 OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I just found my hair twin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yayyyy! :yay:That's what I like to hear! I've found a relaxed hair twin and I hope she has the same new growth texture as I do. I hope you have a fotki or an album so I can check out your hair!
