UNBELIEVABLE attention I'm getting since I got my install makes me wonder

What the hell.....
I am going to stretch so I got an install on wednesday will post pics, 16 inches of black silky hair.....
I have been getting attention from left and right men going out of thier way to accomodate me....strangers at that ...women coming up to me telling me I am so pretty!!!!!
I am thinking now wait what is it with men or people in general and long hair???
This has given me more motivation to grow my own hair atleast waistlength....but makes you wonder how shallow some people can be!!!

Just venting!!!!

I have a good friend that has butt length natural hair, she is one of the main people who started me on my hair journey, she started back when Wanakee began. marketing her haircare system. Years ago!

Anyway we were at lunch and she had her hair in two huge about 3 inches thick in width poney tails.

We had to stop and start our conversations because people were coming up to us in line, at the booth and everywhere else we shopped that day asking her about her hair. This was in the heart of Los Angeles.

I asked her how did she deal with this all the time and she said she had just gotten use to it because folks would do this all the time to her. She is such a sweetie, but I was sitting there thinking is this what I have to look forward to when I reach WL with my own ridiculously thick natural hair?!

I determined then that okay, it is going to be a part of the package if that is the goal I want to reach because people don't see a lot of women of color with hair that long.

So get ready girl, this is what you have to look forward to. Gotta take the good with the bad. Oh and also do not be surprised if you find the elderly blacks particularly the women reach to touch your hair. At least 3 elderly women did that in the restuarant to her.

What is an install? I feel that I get more attention with long hair. My hair is actually a little past my shoulders. Now, that's it's getting longer, I do notice certain people looking at me different.

Funny, I got my install in recently and no body is looking at me like that. It is usually when I take the hair out, people tell me how pretty I am. I dunno, different strokes for different folks.
