This challenge is for LHCFers that barely made APL in 2008
and are hoping for full APL... or what has been referred to
as BSBL: BELOW SHOULDER BLADE LENGTH.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least barely APL
Post a starting photo
Able to post updated photos every 3-6 months

Here's my starting photo, taken today...

I can claim BSBL at 8.5" according to my measurements.
I'm 2" away... so I should get there by Summer
 
I want to join, I am still putting my regimen together for the '09 and whatnot, but I am hoping to be APL by March or so.
 
I'm in. My goal is May 17th -- graduation...I was scraping APL till I trimmed, which I haven't done since the BC. I have to steal my camera back from my friend before I can take a starting pic...my sig pic is almost 3 months old.
 
My update is in my siggy! I want to get to 8" before I enter the next challenge of Bra Strap Length. So hopefully that's in April or May at the very latest.
 
nice...my update is in my avi...i didnt know the knots were actually affecting my length till i took that pic. i'm still trying to get to full APL or so by june-ish, cause i'm a dreamer.
 
Hi S.T., I want in on this challenge...I am just barely apl right now(only a few strands touching) and am hoping to get to bsbl by at least my 2 yr ann. Also just wanted to let you know I've been following your progress on your blog and your hair looks Amazing....
 
i think i maybe in, im not sure yet, i have to do a length checkfirst, i may be real close to bsl i think i have an inch from bsl, depending on what bra, but S.Tease, it looks like we're the same hair length, i don't know how tall you are. it looks like your bra is really low though...
 
Hopefully I get to 8" by April... last time I check I was around 7.5 after a trim... so...
then I will abandon this thread and move to BSL challenge!!!
 
Count me in. Here's my starting pic. Hopefully I can reach BSB by the end of June. Um what do you do when your back is so fat, you can't find the bottom of your shoulder blade? :look::lachen:

If I didn't see the pictures, I wouldn't believe it myself.

It's still the normal 1/2" month though. I guess because after SL-APL everything is easier. I'm not even trying to get to Hip or Waist. I'll be good at a FULL HEALTHY THICK Mid-Back Length. I hope that's where I'm at in January 2010.
 
I cant find my shoulder blade (LOL) because of my back fat!!!!!

So bare with my lines, I think they are accurate!!

I dont think I can make it by summer..but maybe by the end of the year..
But I welcome the challenge!
I will be updating again in may..I just did my relaxer in Feb...

Well girl, you're my inspiration. I'll be following your blog for great advice to help me during my transition.
 
Good luck with this ladies. I've decided not to join any challenges and just focus on my hair. I think I'm close to APL all natural. Not bad for almost 2 years, with cuts and things.

OK... I used Sabino I hated it... I like my hair to be bouncy. Sabino just weighed my fine hair down and it looks dirty but it's actually freshly washed the same day of pic. My siggy pic has no product other than shampoo and conditioner... but here's an update...


I am grazing that 8" mark which means I'm right on schedule. I'm grazing BSBL I think I'll claim it in July and move on to the BSL challenge.

So I got a trim and lost about 1.5"

Went from grazing 8" to about 6.5" as you can see...

That will set me back 3 months but that's ok. My hair moves better and looks healthier. So I won't be BSBL by Summer but I will be BSBL by the end of Summer (September 1, 2009)... I'm hoping to be at that 9" mark on my tape measure by then. :crossfingers: :crossfingers: :crossfingers:

I am so sick of being in medium length hell. I either want it short or long. I feel like I've been in between SL and APL since I was 13... that's over 10 years :wallbash: I always just get frustrated and cut it in a bob but I'm trying really hard here.

I saw this older black women with MBL hair... it was all hers and she was so flyy and chic. It was amazing. I want that. I can't wait.
