Hey ladies,
It's my 2 year anniversary on LHCF. I've come such a long way - from SL to WL in the last two years. At each milestone, I thought, if I just reach the next step, I'll be satisfied. But...here I am two years later, and I'm still reaching for more. I'm absolutely thrilled with my hair right now, but I'm still trying to get that full, thick, waist length look.
I waited until the very last day to renew my membership before it expired because I considered not renewing. I've learned so much, and I felt like I could maintain my hair on my own. But...I just can't seem to let go.
This forum has taught me how to really care for my hair. At one time, I thought because my hair was so thick, that it could endure anything. Coloring, pressing WITH a relaxer, rough combing, harsh shampoos, etc. Now I know better.
I have to give a million thanks to Cleve_gryl whose advice about rollersetting has completely turned my hair around. It seemed like I would never get it right, but she answered all of my questions, and now I'm a pro.
Unfortunately, in the two years that I've been here, I haven't quite figured out how to put pictures in the thread, so I'm just going to attach a couple. The picture in the black shirt was in 2006 right before I found LHCF. The turquoise sweater is yesterday (3/5/09). I hope you all don't mind front shots. The rest are in my fotki.
Thanks ladies!
