I need YOUR assistance!

I want to know what are the MOST favored ayurveda hair oil bases that everyone loves. Please give your input.

Thanks

I love, hairveda's Cocasta oil, coconut oil, amla oil, jojoba oil, shikakai oil, actually any indian oils, tea tree oil, camellia oil, and that's about it right now......HTH!

thanks everyone! great input. Keep it rolling in please!

Also on the coconut oil, has anyone ever experienced he coconut oil hardening and if so how did you deal with it at that time? Or did it bother you?

I usually put some hot water in a bowl and let the bottle of coconut oil sit in there and loosen up.

my fave oil is coconut oil.
i actually prefer mine solid because i can just scoop it out since it comes in a jar. it makes my hair solid when i go outside but once i go indoors it softens again. it doesnt bother me.

i just dig my coconut oil out and it melts instantly in your hands almost. Rub it together and Voila! I don't know what you want to use it for but I mean if you only need a lil bit at time that's how I do it.

Overall, I prefer natural oil blends such as African Royal Hot 6, Africa's Best Herbal Oil Complex, and Hairobics Hair Oil/Detangler Oil.

Vatika Oil is my ultimate fav! I haven't tried pure coconut but that's the main ingrediant in Vatika Oil. It's extremely light and leaves the hair soft and shiny! and it's cheap!!!

I don't use any ayurvedic practices/ingredients but my favorite oil is castor oil, I used it everyday.

Ooohh I have to say coconut! I love it, I do experience hardening, and I just run it under a faucet, and bada bing..ready for use.

Bhringraj, and Brahmi are also good too (herbal infused oils) I like those oils with the coconut base over the hesh brand (which has mineral oil in it). If I do use hesh (which I happen to have) I use them as pre-poo oils. Amla oil is also a winner :) -

But if we are talking reg oils: Camellia, Jojoba, Wheat Germ, Castor, Avocado, Rice Bran, oooohh and Brazil Nut, Sapote (my new fav) ..the list goes on and on :D

I like light oils for my scalp, like coconut, jojoba or grapeseed oil. I also like Ayurvedic oils.

Castor oil is great for my ends but too thick for my scalp to use as a message oil a few times a week. Olive oil does not work for my hair at all for some reason.

I love olive oil for conditioning and I am just starting to love coconut oil for every day use. But now, they're not on your list and I don't guess they're used in ayurveda...but EMU oil is the shiznit and almond oil absorbs soooo nicely.

Coconut it number one for me. Wheatgerm is next. It has a silky feel about it and they both repair hair.

all of those sound so yummy!

I know argan oil is really nice as well. Really nice and from Morocco. They sometimes also use it as a facial moisturizer.

What about aloe vera? there are many benefits I've read about it.

Like this "Indians, Native Americans and Caribbeans have used Aloe Vera to promote healthy hair and prevent hair loss since ages. Aloe Vera balances the pH of the scalp and heals from within. It is also helpful in cleansing the pores. A general remedy of Aloe Vera gel with coconut milk and small amount of wheat germ oil used as a shampoo has shown great benefits. Aloe Vera surely helps you stop hair loss. "

and capsicum promotes blood circulation, as it is very warming.
