WOW - I Might Be APL - PICS Inside

Okay LHCFers... my sister is flatironing my hair now... and my hair feels like butter. She pulled it down to show me where it was (I felt the area) and I know it's not BSL or midback, but it really feels like I been sleeping on my hair (ignoring the growth) and the progress I've been making. DH said my hair was hitting APL but I was lie pfft yea right... I kinda won't believe the length until I see for myself to be honest!

Yea this thread is worthless without pics but I will have a reveal coming in a few hours. I'm all excited... I said I wouldn't straighten or post until I really "got somewhere" with my hair. :grin:

Don't be mad. I know what you said.........but I haven't had a chance to use this one yet and I've really wanted to use it.

At least I know that you will come back with pics and won't leave us hanging like some folks :rolleyes:

Thanks, It's a rinse. It's the rockout red semi permanent color they have at Hot Topic mixed with some Candy Apple Red from Sallys. I wanted RED RED hair but I don't feel like doing anything permanent. My hair naturally turns reddish brownish... or I guess the lye did it ... I don't know but my hair turns its own shades of red and brown so I tried to make it pop


ETA yea I look rough but I wanted to prove I was trying to post pics.. .now to try and clean this thick mess and hairline up some more

It was a thread where we were all tempted by the title. We knew the hair was going to look great post relaxer after such a long stretch given the current length. Then OP was like poof. People kept posting asking for pics that never came. She came back a few times with promises of pic delivery but we were left out to dry.

Your hair came out really nice. The color is great and it has really grown.

Thans... I don't think it's hitting APL yet.... but its below shoulder, which is beautiful. Final verdict later, because my hair still isn't sleek and im ready to sleep

Ok I'm grazing APL... not quite there yet... 1 or 2 strands isn't enough but wow I'm amazed. I am still trying to find a way to sleek it down some...so it's wrapped and I'll try another flattening method tomorrow

Thank you... well I don't want to bust out and claim it until it's undoubtedly there. I have this "V" and the smallest part of the V... seems to be hitting there.

And it's REAL thick, my sister did it, and I might need a tiny trim on the ends... but it took about 3 hours to detangle and flat iron. I used Sabino and Beeswax...

the more I see the color the more I like it, it really pops like colorshowers and it enhances my complexion. :grin:

Isn't it the best when your not paying attention to growth and then bam!
 
Beautiful hair, and grazing APL, but I am hating threads like this! They make me want to blow dry my hair and see where I am too.... but NO blowdrying/flatironing until my touchup in May, well...unless I do it for V-Day or Easter, but those could be rollersets.

Wigs, wigs, wigs. I just try to leave conditioner in my hair as often as possible, and deep condition as necessary. The conditioners are mostly moisturizing. Using a Denman has helped. I keep my hair in cornrows under wigs because while the back would still grow, the hair in the front would not when I used to bun it all the time.

The color is not something I do very often... my hair reddens up on it's own accord at times... and I just used a "gothic" brand of bright red to see what would happen ... I mixed it with a DC this time and used the microwave towel method to steam.

I have used Megatek and Ovation but not consistently!

Also I make it a point to detangle as much as possible when my hair is finally out. I don't trip on the shed or broken hairs like I should but I just trust my hair will do what it needs to do... it's very thick regardless.

I know what you mean... I always want to show my hair with everyone else, but I am too lazy to go through my thick hair.

Thank you! That's what Im hoping! My original goal was to be full shoulder in Nov/December...I had about a 1-2 month delay, but I think that was due to a random trim I gave myself.

Ohhh yea... the NO trim challenge has helped. Nobody has used that thread in a while but I think the OP because with that thread I stopped being anal about cutting my hair when I thought I felt a split... and learning to nurture my ends with moisture.

The wigs are wonderful for helping me leave my hair alone, and I don't trip about what my friends/fam say about my hair length and the wig use... because my method is working. Now my mom and my sis are talking going natural ;)
