I was wondering about whom this lady is and was curious as to what she looks like.

I've never seen her and I've noticed that she is mentioned quite a bit in this message board regarding hair techniques. Could anyone tell me about her and/or post a pix of her?

Wanakee was a famous Christian model during the 80s and 90s. She is from Chicago. She used to do a lot of catalog & department store modeling. Her trademark was her long flowing waist length hair. From what I have read, she is now a minister.

she also was the first I know to insist that women with afro textured hair could indeed grow it to great lengths so long as they kept their hair moisterized.

she is orignially from lansing michigan. i have used her products and loved them. however, they are expensive and i am currently a house wife w/o alot of discretionary funds.
