Definitions - Can you post yours?

Hello all... (yeh me again) I am wondering if we can start a definition thread. I apologize if there was already one and I didn't notice it. I keep coming across so many terms and some are linked to fokti's that are no longer. So if we don't mind, I'd like to start here and literally anything goes.... I'm looking to post the "What is this?" the "How is this done" to the "What does this do?" maybe even a little bit of "Where can I purchase?"

Then I'd like to put it all in one spot with everyone's names and contributions so ya get ya credit. If anything, I'd like to help everyone out there who might be just as confused about some things as me but afraid to say so...

So if you are looking to find out the meaning of something, feel free to add it. If you know some answers to some frequently asked questions or happen to be a guru.. post a few if you don't mind.


Some terms I'm trying to get defined just to start it off are:

1. What is the Baggi (Baggie) technique?
2. How do you "seal your ends" to protect from breakage?

I like this thread, it would be great if we could have all hair related definitions in one thread. I hope people will contribute (and I hope to do so myself in the future).
