Are you going to be able to reuse this hair?

Also, I want to start wearing weaves soon so I'm trying to collect as much info as I can:

How did she get all your hair (as per the avatar) in there?? What did she have a circular braid pattern and is it bumpy? I've had one weave before and you can feel all the braids (but she aint know wtf she was doing i found out later)

I'm transitioning and was wondering if I should cut my hair before I get this weave... Also, is it diffucult to blend for you?

I don't know if the hair is re-useable. I will see what kind of shape it's in after 8 wks. The only hair I've heard of people re-using is the Indian Hair.

She braided my hair in an even # of vertical cornrows. They start of very small in front, and then after the crown the braids join so two small ones become one med size one. When she got to my nape she doubled the braid back up towards my crown, and then sewed them in place with some of the weave thread to make a solid foundation. There is a bump near the base of my neck but it's not noticeable unless you stick your hand in there. Even when I wear the hair up you can't see it.

I was afraid that I would have to cut, but she makes it work very well. :yep: I will probably get a trim at the beginning of summer, but I may not bother depending on when I decide to BC.

ETA: It's actually not bad to blend at all. Now that I'm an expert flat ironer ( LOL ) I can get it pretty sleek using my Sedu, a fine tooth comb, and my Sabino Moisture Block. I'm almost a year post, so the first 4 - 5" of my hair is natural and the rest is texlaxed and as you can see in the pics, it looks almost relaxed.
