At the moment I am using SE Regular. I have been using it to 2 months, but it worked really well on my hair. I still wanna try ORS but IDK...

I use TCB mild/regular.... I know a lot of people think it's a very weak perm, but it's either that or a kiddie perm.... Or I will end up bald as the day is long.... lol

I love Ors no lye its the only relaxer that dose the job for my extra coarse hair without damaging it I stumbled on it after a bad incident with hawiian silky.

I just used silk elements mild for the 1st time less than an hour ago. I hadn't had a relaxer since may, then I did a texlax with jfm texture softener in October. I texlaced again, there is no way it would have straightened me bone straight but I like the way my hair feels so far. I plan to post before and after pics in a couple of days in my 1st thread!

I'm using Soft & Beautiful Ultimate Protection Relaxer system (regular strength). I've tried lots of other relaxers (Gentle Treatment, ORS, Beautiful Beginnings, Africa's Best, Dark and Lovely, etc...) and all of them either over-processed my hair or burned my scalp or just weren't as good IMO as S&B. When I was younger I used to use S&B's Just For Me relaxer system, but now I use the adult version. It's really gentle but straightens my hair well.

I use phyto index 1 and I love it! been using it for a year and a half and will not use anything else. it agrees with my hair totally!

I am trying tonight for the first time Elasta QP Super. I've had great success in the past with ORS and Dark and Lovely. I am not loyal to any particular brand of relaxer at this time.

I used Mizani Senstive Scalp for the first time yesterday. Love it. Did not burn and my hair is not bone straight but silky with bounce. I've used a lot of different relaxers over the years but I like this one. Its a keeper.

I have used Design Essentials for the last year. I love it, I think my hair seems healthier AND when I get new growth the "line" is not as noticeable ( I am a 4b). Though I never feel like, "whoa, this relaxer is like a press and curl"....It gets it straight, for me it just doesn't break down alot.

My stylies uses Affirm. It gets my hair really straight, but I feel like it just made my hair limp. I am still debating on transitioning, but know I am not that patient to deal with 2 textures before doing the big BC.

I just switched to Dr. Miracle no-lye reg and I love it!!! It left my hair so soft and shiny. For the last 5 years I used CON Super which left my hair underprocessed. I didnt know I was texlaxing my hair by accident until I joined this forum.

This may be a question that has been asked before, but I honestly do not know..Is NO-Lye better then Lye or vice versa and why?

I use Affirm fiberguard, I was using the no-lye sensitive scalp and I just switched to the lye mild with my last relaxer. I've been using Fiberguard since my first relaxer since I started growing my hair back, which was a year ago. I think it's truly the best relaxer I've used with color-even when I flat ironed my hair once a week for about 2 months I didnt get damage. I've used Mizani and it made my hair too straight. I will say though that Fiberguard never gets my hair super straight. The original affirm does though.

I'm about to relax again i'd i'll prob go back to affirm. Mizani is why I decided to go natural in the first place. It made my hair waaaay too straight and lifeless like you said.

I use Phytospecific Index 2. I love this relaxer. I won't be switching again. I don't have breakage after using this relaxer. I am 9 weeks post now and will be relaxing in a week or 2 for the second time. My hair has been a lot thicker since using this relaxer. It is definitely fine-hair friendly.

I have been using ORS olive oil lye to texlax the last 2 times. I like the way it straightens but I have noticed more of an itchy scalp since using it (and I base my scalp). I think my hair doesn't like olive oil but loves coconut oil. I plan t switch to Silk Elements if I can ever find it.

What she said!

I use Index 1 because I have permanently colored hair (bronze/dark blonde).

It's also very easy to use and has my hair in great shape!

Affirm thinned my hair out. :(

I use Silk Elements Lye (regular strength). If I can get my hands on Nairobi relaxer, I will switch. Until then, Silk Elements it is!!!

ETA: I forgot to answer the questions

I have used it for my past two relaxers. So far so good!!! I get great results!!

MY STYLIST USES THIS BUT I CAN FIND IT ANYWHERE ELSE!! I LOVE IT! but If I am texlaxing @ home I USE ORS .. .ITS THE BOMB!

Silk Elements!!!!!!!!! I love this relaxer...and I've tried quite a few. I recently started using it and was honestly thinking it woundn't work.....MAN WAS I WRONG!!! It made my hair soft and silky. Me likey!!

which one do you use? lye/ no lye, regular/ mild/coarse? I'm thinking of switching to this relaxer. I ve been hearing great things about it.

I was natural for about 5 years and the first perm I used was phytospecific index 2 and i loved it. However I did not love the price so I switched to ORS no-lye and so far so good. After I graduate I plan on going back to Phyto I will definitly be able to afford it then.

Hawaiian Silky. Keep coming back to it. It never burns. I just need to upgrade to coarse, but other then that, it's great.

My hair laughed at Silk Elements (and I even used coarse) and ORS lye burnt me, but did nothing to the actual hair.
