I use Phytospecific index 2 and have done so for about six years or so. The only way I would change is if Phtyo stopped making it. With the information and tips I've acquired from the ladies here, I don't have breakage from relaxing.

I use Silk Elements Lye (regular strength). If I can get my hands on Nairobi relaxer, I will switch. Until then, Silk Elements it is!!!

ETA: I forgot to answer the questions

I have used it for my past two relaxers. So far so good!!! I get great results!!

My last two touch ups were with Just For Me. I have thick and coarse hair but this relaxer has given great results. It straightens well without burning. I love it. ORS Olive Oil Relaxer (lye) didn't do well on my hair.:ohwell:

I started using Mizani like three years ago and I only used it since because they claim to be a gentl relaxer. Now in the beginning I used NO lye. For my fine hair I did not know that I shouldn't be using that. I thought I texlaxed with it a year ago and after 10 minutes 8 in some places my hair was almost bone straight. Now after my transition I decided to try the Lye relaxer and I have so much more body and alot of thickness. However I used the Fine next time I am using regular. I have not experienced any burning with either relaxer. Where as I remember Affirm would.

Oh I use the BB

my last relaxer i used phyto index 2. i loved it and will use for as long as i can afford to. i should have bought more boxes during the sale. before that i used creme of nature herba riche (no-lye) which I've used for about 4 or 5 years almost steadily. It used to be the only relaxer that didn't burn.

Ditto to everything. I  Phytorelaxer index 2. I have used it for my last two relaxers which I believe would starting about 5 months ago.

I use ORS, I LOVE IT!!! I've been using it for a couple of years, and I swear by it. It doesn't leave your to straight because, I love to have a little cushion and due to the fact that I stretch. I love the conditioner so much, it feels so good & I love this relaxer. HTH

PCJ Kids relaxer course :look: Don't judge me! LOL My hair is soft, fine and thin and it has been doing the job for the past 8 - 10 years.

I just started using ORS no-lye...my first application was 2 weeks ago. SO far so good. It did not burn (I was 26 weeks post) and my hair was straight but not bone straight which is good.

Profectiv Regular.

I wish they would put a conditioner in the kit though.

No biggie - I use my own. But still.

I really love this relaxer otherwise.

I use Affirm fiberguard, I was using the no-lye sensitive scalp and I just switched to the lye mild with my last relaxer. I've been using Fiberguard since my first relaxer since I started growing my hair back, which was a year ago. I think it's truly the best relaxer I've used with color-even when I flat ironed my hair once a week for about 2 months I didnt get damage. I've used Mizani and it made my hair too straight. I will say though that Fiberguard never gets my hair super straight. The original affirm does though.

I use Phyto Index 1. I love the way my hair feels after the relaxer. It leaves my hair full with body!

I have been using ORS no lye for about 6 or 7 years. I luv it but i think it might be time for a change.

I have just used Silk Elements Lye Regular and in the beginning, I liked it, and that was Dec 6, now it's the Dec 31st, and my hair looks like I haven't even had a relaxer, but I'm using OCT/BeeMine mix, so that could be the reason for so much growth, I liked it, but I might try Design Essentials or go back to Mizani Butter Blend Regular or Mild.......

I used Phyto 2 for the past almost 3 years, from the start of my hair journey. I tried Elucence Shea Butter lye relaxer at my last touch-up (Nov) and I love it! It was hard switching and I was scared to death, but I'm sooooo happy I did. The price difference speaks for itself, but the fact that my hair turned out thicker (I admit I accidently texlaxed some places) and silky makes it a definite keeper!

My last relaxer I used ORS Lye for the first time. I'm normally a Mizani Momma. I didn't care for the way my hair felt when rinsing the relaxer, but by the time I finished my regimen, my hair looked and felt great. I'm almost 3 weeks post and my hair has retained moisture alot better than before with Mizani. I still am going to try Silk Elements in the future, though. BUt for now, I'm good with ORS Lye.

I just started using Hawaiian Silky Lye Regular. I've only used it once so far and this has been the first time I could stretch past 8 weeks without using braids.

My last relaxer was with Hawaiian silky regular. It didn't burn, got my hair straight, but after, my hair was way too dry. So I am going back to Mizani BB

My current stylist uses Affirm Sensitive Scalp no-lye.

I was using Design Essentials lye but it was thinning out my hair--it was bone strait see through lifeless :nono:. It could have been the application by my ex-stylist, though.

I always thought no-lye would be bad for my hair--but it has been thriving ever since on the Affirm and has gotten thicker and longer. I do have monitor it for moisture and I chelate every 6 weeks or so.

I use Bantu no base relaxer w/shea butter in regular strength. I have very thick hair which was almost always dry before I used a good lye relaxer (and before I joined LHCF of course:wink2:).

Silk Elements!!!!!!!!! I love this relaxer...and I've tried quite a few. I recently started using it and was honestly thinking it woundn't work.....MAN WAS I WRONG!!! It made my hair soft and silky. Me likey!!
