This whole year of 2008 my hair has not reached its potential. It definitely was trial and error year for me. Now that those baby steps are out of the way, I'm ready for the next phase. So thus I will be making a change for 2009.

I have decided to throw out all my products that I WILL NOT be using in '09.

My plan is to stick to one Poo and conditioner all year long for my hair and my DDs hair.

Aphogee is a good poo/conditioner for us.
Leave in will be alternated w/ Giovanni and Aphogee
ORS moisturizer
Coconut & Castor Oil

Henna/Indigo for coloring

This should help my finances as well as save my hair from setbacks. Also will be trimming/dusting our hair every 2 to 3 months.

What will some of you ladies be doing for your hair this upcoming year?

Although I've slowed down a lot, I joined two bandwagons that did not prove fruitful for me (WEN & Megatek)...they may have worked but I didn't stick to either long enough to see real results. I like WEN alot but it made my hair shed too much for my liking. MT was okay but I just couldn't stick with it. I stood by my trusty CON & DC's though. That's the only thing I can commit to regularly.

I'm thinking that is part of my problem. I've switched and joined in all the games:lachen:But for me I was new to "caring" for my hair the healthy way. So its been about learning what will work for me.

This is what I need to do. I just can't find it in my heart to do it. I have grown attached to my products like you would a plant or something. I just can't throw them out.

I have issues.

It's normal to be a PJ and bandwagon jumper in the beginning of your hair journey but I jumped on bandwagons long after I figured out what was working for me. I guess I was looking for the "end all, be all" but I don't think that exists. :nono: Healthy hair is a culmination of good old TLC. :yep:

I'm gonna try to keep it simple. Since I know what works for me now, I'm going to stick with that. Also, Megatek and Oct get to be kind of expensive when used daily, so I will not be a pj anymore. No matter how many good reviews I hear about a product, I will resist the temptation!!! I have most of my staples, so I think that next year will really be a growing year for me.:yep:

right...and in all your products...do they all give you the results your looking for  for me I had a lot of different looks/results. Didn't know which one benefited me...ridiculous.

me either:nono:...

im not as bad as i was in the beginning...but best believe when someone raves about a new product..i will be on that!

See you ain't right...that is what I'm talking about :lachen:You need an intervention like me....for me it was too much hair started shedding, don't know which was the culprit....hince PJ
