Trade Secret has these on doorbuster for $79.95. Does anyone have one, and if so, do you recommend it?

I noticed that my hair is so much smoother after it's straightened. I don't straighten myself - only for TU every 3 months. I think straightening lays the cuticle down and makes it feel so smooth, so I want to start doing it once a month.

Thoughts ladies?

Interesting I saw this thread. I need a new blow dryer. Hmmm :scratchch
This one has to be better than the paint-chipped Conair I have from Walgreens.
I will be by a Trade Secret tomorrow.

ETA: The reviews on Folica aren't so good  :ohwell:

Thanks, I'll check out Folica.

Ateyaa on Youtube uses this as well as a Chi flat iron and her hair looked so silky afterwards!

I went to the salon and hate sitting under the dryer so I asked her to blow dry my hair and thats what she pulled out. I love the results afterwards, but it wont get much usage my way.... Cause I never wear my hair str8, maybe 2 weeks outta the 16 weeks.

It is a great dryer. Gets super hot though.

Thank you! The reviews I saw said the same thing. I plan on straightening once a month. I also plan on letting my hair completely air dry and just using the dryer and flat iron to smooth out my texture, not actually dry my hair. I think I am gonna get it!

(Now if only it came in pink leopard). :giggle:

:peek2: Okay I'll come out of lurker mode to give you my review...
I love my Chi Pro Dryer. My blowdryed hair feels so silky after using it. It is a big improvement from my old Gold n Hot Blowdryer... really there is no comparison. I've been using it for about 2 years and paid over $100 for it and I believe it was worth every penny. $80 is a good deal... I might get one for my mom... back into lurker mode :cool2:

follica had a sale on this dryer alonf=g with the flat iron and silk infusion. i was gonna get it but chicked out. i might get it though because its the only one i see with a comb attachment.

No, the Pro does not come with a comb attachment. I have an attachment that hopefully fits it. If not, Sally's sells them for around $6.

Alright, I bought this dryer, but my existing comb attachment does not fit, nor does the only one sold at Sally's. :ohwell: I'm having a problem finding a chi attachment online. I hope TS takes back this dryer. If I can't find one tonight I will return it first thing tomorrow to give someone else a shot at purchasing it. :perplexed

If you contact the makers of Chi, they will send you an attachment for FREE! Just don't tell them if you got it from any kind of discount store (like Marshalls or TJ Maxx) But yeah, I have a chi hand held dryer and it's da truth!

FREE?? FOR REAL?! You're the 2nd person who has said this. Hmmm...

ETA: Which model do you have? The one I bought got poor reviews on folica. :-/

where did you get the blow dryer from? folica.com?
i know the CHI rockett comes with an attachment so im thinking about getting that one.

Trade Secret - $85+ tax. I'm seriously considering returning it and getting a flat iron instead. W/o an attachment, the dryer is useless to me. :ohwell:

Yeah they'll send you a free attachment if you call CHI. As soon as my CHI Nano arrive I am calling them for the attachment, as a matter of fact I am gonna call them today so they can hopefully arrive at the same time. I was gonna get the CHI pro but was afraid of the reviews, when I think about it maybe Folica was selling not so good ones you know, cause other people that have it don't have that problem.

Cool! I ended up taking mine back because I figured I needed a flat iron more. So I got the FHI flat iron and first tried blow drying my hair with my Conair YellowBird. :ohwell: It sucked. :ohwell: So now I'm going to pick up the FHI Heat Nano Weight Pro that is on doorbuster for $69.95 this weekend.

:drunk: ya'll got me confused..

So the Chi is out,

The FHI Heat Nano is in?

Do we have Trade Secrets around here :cowgirl: off to check...

I got the walmart version of the chi for $38.

How do you like it?

LOL, I think some folks do like their Chi, I just didn't feel like waiting for them to send me an attachment. NOTE - FHI does not come with an attachment either. I'm gonna take my attachment in and see if it fits. I figured I'd try the FHI since I like their iron and the TS doorbuster is $10 cheaper than Chi's. :look:

I called CHI and all she did was ask for my name and address, nothing extra the attachment is on the way. If you live near a Bed Bath and Beyond the CHI Pro is only $99.99 now, usse a 20% off coupon to save $20. I got a CHI Nano for only $70 Marshall's and TjMaxx is my hairs best friend

Cool! Please come back with your review. :yep: I have a Conair Yellowbird right now and it totally sucks. I need a dryer that actually STRAIGHTENS and FLATTENS. My hair was straight but poufy at the same time. I didn't even know that was possible. :nono:

Did you get the FHI Nano?

Well, I got the FHI Nano dryer (1800w) for a phenomenal price of $64.50 - including TAX! But now I am having NO luck finding an attachment comb. :wallbash: I called FHI - no luck, the lady I talked to claimed this never comes up in their meetings, and that a comb would just melt. :whyme:I wonder if the Chi comb would fit it? Argh, I thought I had gotten a great deal. I really need a comb. :cry3:

So what makes this dryer so special? Is it the comb attachment, they way the air comes out or what? I want a new blow dryer so I need to do some homework on what's out there.
